I get this bad vibration emanating from motor to my steering wheel. It also causes rattles in the dash somewhere. It only does it, e.g., warmed up or hot and come to stoplight and idling. But cold starts or driving or cruising or boosting drives smoothly...only when warmed up/hot and idling...brrrrrrrrr!

I have block-off plate, 16g, afc, uip, magnacore, etc. Wondering what's causing this? Thanks.

You should replace them all. When I just had the front one replaced it caused nothing but problems, in fact, it killed the engine mount. All I have left is the rear one to do but let it be known, with the inserts it will make your car vibrate like mad at idle.

I would look into the motor mounts first. I had a similar situation turned out being the balance shaft belt. The belt wasnt tight when I got replaced, once I tightened it the shaking went away.

Are you saying urethane inserts are bad idea and good idea is to replace with stock rubber mounts? No inserts but replace with the whole mounts?

I originally replaced all of my motor mounts with urethane, and I think 2 weeks later I ripped the tranny and timing belt mount out and replaced them with stockers. With all 4 urethane mounts, the car shook badly...it was terrible. Great for performance, bad for kickin' it around town.

Depends. I have 3 mounts installed right now with inserts. the back is not installed yet. I would say get inserts, its cheaper but it will make sitting at idle kind of uncomfortable.

Was your car vibrating "only" when warmed up and idling?
I think urethanes vibrate cold start idles too.

Replace or repair them. If it fixes the problem, it's about the cheapest fix offered so far. :) Might try spacing it with something like bits of sponge, just to see if the vibration is reduced when the radiator is centered in the mounts.
