I am currently parting out a 95 TSI AWD and pulling everything needed to do an A/t to M/T swap on my 97 GSX. Came across one problem, the master/slave cylinder hose has been cut where it attaches to the transmission ( picture below ). Could I go ahead and use a 1g setup since I have one on hand? Would to work the same? I would assume it would since there is little difference in the setups. I really want to get my car going this weekend if at all possible, I dont think I am going to have any spare cash left to buy new metal lines.

I cannot find what those lines orignally connected to either, perhaps its gone with the front of the car. Who knows? Anyways, I need to figure something out by noon on Saturday so any help would be nice. I need to get things ready so that I have the car together by noon sunday at the latest to work out any bugs.

I know that, what I am asking is, should I get another or could I use a 1g setup that I have on hand, are they the same between 1g and 2g?

I will try that, question is, what does that cut line go to? The front of the car was removed via sawzaw before I got it in my hands and the line had been cut. Without knowing what the line goes to its of no use to me. Couldnt I just use a steel braided line instead or should I go with a metal line and where on earth would I find it? Perhaps a hose shop or napa or satan?

That cut line goes to the slave cylinder. You can change that whole metal line including the resevoir tank it is attatched to with a SS line. There are vendors that sell it in your size ready to go. I have seem them for around $20.
