hey whatsup guys .. i was thinking the other day, in an effort to get some more fuel delivery, can you or has anyone used a 2g fuel pressure regulator on a 1g rail. the fuel press. on m/t 1g's is stock set at 37psi... 2g's are stock at 43psi.. i was thinking this might solve a little problem, just a thought! let me know. thanks alot

i've done it. If you get a 2g regulator cheap, or free, its good for more pressure.

All you have to do is cut the stock mounting holes on the regulator to make them into slots instead of holes. Also you will have to take a 1g regulator return pipe and cut it off the 1g reg. Then fit it over the 2g return line. It will be a tight fit. Then you can solder it on. Its totally fine, I ran my car like that for nearly 2 years. NEVER leaked or had any issues, except for the fact that no stock regulator can keep up with a 255 Walbro.

Its not really the best thing to do, because an auto reg or a N/T reg is just as cheap and pretty easy to come by, but if you have a 2g reg already and just have some free time, but no more money, it will gain you some performance.

yes, they are rizing rate, just like the stockers. auto, n/t, Colt/Mirage all these work.

What NONE of these will do however is have enough return for bigger pumps. All of these will be over run by larger pumps, such as Walbro 255.
