what would you recommend the kyb gr-2 or the kyb adjustable on a daily driver?

KYB AGX are fine on the street, particularly in FL. I have run them on crappy PA roads. They are stiff, but not brutal, plus it depends on your spring selection as well.

the roads are pretty good in my area but the problem is the cost issue meanly i need to replace them and i want something better than stock thats why is gonna buy the gr2's

if you are on a budget, try ebay. The seller jdmwerks or something sells some pretty good tokico spring/strut packages. There are also good priced packages of AGX's and gr-2's. I've got the tokico package on my GS and its very nice for around $360ish

if you are looking for something better than stock, i would suggest tokico illuminia? from reading the forums here it looks to be a very good stock replacement with good performance, and ride comfort adjustablity... i bought them with eibach prokit springs.. they are sitting home right now.. been busy.. and hoping to install them this weekend.. and will let u know how they feel.. sigh... crosses fingers.. hopefully i can do it this weekend... lol.. i have a wedding to goto on sat.. so going to try and squeeze in sunday for my car...

well i was gonna run the gr-2's with a set tein h-type lowering springs but i might have to rethink that one

I have run the agx adjustable for about 3 years now. I live in West Virginia and the roads greatly vary from rough gravel/dirt to very smooth curvy asphalt, to very nice high speed interstate. The agx shocks are very nice, 1 is too soft for anything, causes the car to handle bad. Level 2 is great for rough roads, and 3 is just right for most of my daily driving. However, it is usually too much trouble to stop, get out, and adjust the settings. They stay set at level 3.

oh yea... for my tokico illuminia shocks and eibach prokit springs.. total coast shipped came to just a bit over 800 cdn.. 100 of it was stupid border tax... both got them from ebay... just incase u wanted to know price and ebay.. if ur in states it prob be cheaper to ship than us canadians.

welll installed them today... just the fronts only... sigh.. when i was going to install my shocks.. i was going to replace the strut mounts as well.. when i opened the box all i saw instead of strut mounts were oil filters!!!!!.. grrrrr... i wanted to do it today so badly so went to canadian tires.. and they only had 2 strut mounts.. sigh.. so did fronts only.. and going to call that website tomorrow to bitch at them for not sending me 4 strut mounts which i ordered..

it lowered my car abt 1.5 inches the front... when we put them on.. it the driver side was lower... was starting to freak, but i remembered from some where i should drive on them for a bit.. so took it for a test spin.. btw.. i set the settings at 4... (1 softest 5 hardest)... it drove nice.. until i starting hitting bumps.. i took them, but i could feel them hard... so i stopped.. and change the settings to 3.... and before i got in the car.. i checked the height.. and both sides were even..... drove off.. and the ride for the front was perfect..... i am glad i got shocks with adjustables.. i will prob never race on the track, and it will be street driven so at setting 3.. it works well for me..

I cant wait till the backs are installed...

well i'm still considering running the gr-2's with tein h-type springs i'm just not sure if its gonna kill the shocks/struts fast so if anyone has anymore suggestions that would help

depending on the roads out your way it "could" kill the shocks quickly gr-2's aren't supposed to be used in lowering applications, however it has been done many times before some people like it some people don't i say go agx's but it comes down to funds vs. comfort you decide who wins
