I have recently received a crankshaft for my auto gsx. The problem is that the mechanic is telling me that the crankshaft won't fit correctly, and I require a crank from an automatic! I have searched, but all I can find was a "spacer" for the crank to fit in properly. I really do not wish to spend a few more hundred bucks just to get the "right" crank for my ride. Someone please enlighten me.

The hell you say! An automatic needs an automatic crank? GTFO
Next thing you're going to tell me is that an A/T needs a transmission from an A/T.

So you just blindly went and bought a crank without taking any time at all to search and see if there was a difference between A/T & M/T (duh)
Here's an enlightenment... you're an idiot, and you're going to continue to waste your money until you start thinking first. :)

Maybe I did search. And maybe you can just shut up and stop wasting mine and your time replying like this. All I know is that there is a ring where it bolts up around the torque converter.

I apologize if I was being an "idiot" for asking a simple question. I was only confused because I was hearing two different people telling me that I needed another crank. This is why I have refrained from starting threads in the first place.

Moderators, you can close this thread.

You my friend are the idiot. You don't have to be ignorant to someone asking a simple question. Autos and 5 speeds take the same crank. You just need the bushing in the end of the crank for the converter. You can get that at the mitsubishi dealer or call us and we can hook you up.

Your join date owns and your information sucks. The fact you've been on here so long and are still putting out bad info makes it even more sad.
