Well me and my buddy were at the car wash, he seen this Maroon 2G Spyder GST and we looked at it etc. He has A Greddy Sidemount intercooler with pipes, Injen intake pipe, EBC, and some unknown tiny little Garret Turbo (he called it an upgrade)...and stock exhaust  , running at a claimed 16psi with no fuel.

He looked at my car etc and I told him all I have is head work, MBC, Turboback Apex'i etc. Anyways we went for a cruise and then lines up twice from a dig...

First one was short as he missed 3rd he claimed and I had a shitty launch anyway..I stillw as ahead by about 4 cars

Second we line up again. I get a good launch and absolutely rip him a new asshole out of the hole as he squeeled. My shitty cluch was real warm etc and it misses 3rd alot when shifting hard, That happened.., I slammed it in and he was right beside me...I Caught boost in 3rd and pulled on him rather hard and had him by about 5 legths.

Stock exhaust at 16psi...wow talk about restrictive. This really shows you that properly modding a car can take you a long way  . First DSM kill here, sorry 2G guys :)

Nice kill man, someone needs to explain to him how turbos work.
Yeah, I told him a 3" downpipe and catback would probly add about 25horse and a few psi of boost like it did with me. You should of heard him at wot...The exhaust sounded like it was getting strangled!

That is the first thing I did was full 3" and N1 muffler. Serious question though, would it be to restrictive to switch back to my stock muffler and keep my 3" piping. My N1 gets me pulled almost as often as I change my ****** tightys!
Good kill...1g all the way

TSI just get rid of the N1 muffler.
Thats the culprit.

Go with another performance straight thru with a different tip...
Or something 3" but not straight thru if you want even quieter.

And to White91
:D
I have a 2.5-3" dp, no cat... bolted to the rest of the stock exhaust... and a 3" muffler. Yeah yeah... I know... I just don't like loud...

Just changing the downpipe yielded 4psi without changing the boost controller.
And took away the god awful shrieky "I'm going to explode" sound.
I say its the stock cat thats the biggest problem.

You just wait until I get my 17's on and equal length half shaft in...
I'll give your 1g a run for the money even from a dig.
:D
From a roll you'd get pwned something fierce.
:p

Good kill tho... I wonder what the mystery turd-bo was?

A greddy power extreme or evo exhaust isn't to loud...
I have the power extreme and I don't really have any noise issues...
But I'm getting rid of it.....
Cuz I want a HKS Carbon Ti .......
My boi's girl has a hks on her gsx and it's sounds SCHWEET!....
I just love the roar of this car at wot... :D
And I quote LL cool J
"It's hard to control myself..." :chair:
"It's hard to control myself..."

I love everything about the N1 its just the looks and probably the sound of the muffler. I was looking maybe just to keep my piping because I made my Muffler removeable with the loosening of a clamp and I was wanting to maybe rework a stock muffler, maybe gut it a little. Basically, I am not so worried about the sound as I am the look. Cops sees the N1 I can be parked and his eyes bug...Bullshit!

I'm probably going to get laughed at by everyone, but I got a 3" cat-back off of ebay for under $250 shipped to my door. And it looks and sounds great with two resonators like the stock exhaust does.
