So im running into the issue of still brake torquing yet rolling forward enough to trip a red light. I just upgraded my brake lines to SS braided and that has helped a little bit, but i need more. I have a 4200 rpm stall but at 3800 i cant hold it anymore, even w/ the ebrake pulled. This is causing my launches to bog and horrible 60' times (2.2's) which is leading to bad 1/4 times (high 13's) but my MPH are killer (105). Any advice to help keep her on the line and improve my times?

What you guys have Spaghetti legs? Hit the gym and build some leg muscles. I'm holding 25psi on the line no problem , but I have strong legs. In all seriousness though, I've heard there is a brakebooster mod which can help keep you fom pulling through the brakes. The main thing is to have the peddle pressed very firmly before building boost. Sometimes it helps if you brace your thigh against the steering wheel and use it like a fulcrum.

my car just creeps forward all the time..... i honestly have it floored the brake all the way.. nothing else helps what can i dooo
i wanan go to the track today
ugggh this sucks
i bled my brakes... i brake harder but i still wont stay still past 3k rpm's
any other ideas? i have stock 98 gsx brakes.. my e brake is non-existance practically... so what else can i do.. i really need to fix this problem so i dont roll forward its extremely annoying

what?
i dont have a brake booster thing or whatever lol
Brake booster = big black thing behind your master cylinder.

It uses vaccumm to assist you when you apply the brakes, there is a check valve in the line that goes to it though so it doesn't see boost since its not designed to work under pressure; just vacuum. If it isn't storing vaccumm as it should then when you are under boost you will be doing all the braking work yourself instead of the booster helping you or if it is getting boost pressure it may actually be fighting you.

It is unlikely that it is bad but its something to check.

well i hve like 1/2 pedal room of play......
like.. i dont slow down/stop till like i press the brake like.. 1/2 way down... mayb a little less, but u know what i mean
there is lots of play like a clutch would have
do you know what this could be? or just.. normal? im not 100% sure
i bled my brakes today (my first time..?) it feels a little tougher when i stop.. i went to the track today and pulled off a 1.8 60 foot with a 13.05 1/4 mile time :(
only with 93 octane tho... blaah.. whatever i just couldnt build enough booost i know i should have launched better but i kept rolling forward!! pissing me off

yeaaa ido have ABS
how do iget rid of this!!!
i was thinking this would make a big difference
along with stainless steel lines
help me out? thanks

Rev the car in nuetral right as you pull up to the staging light and slam the brake. Then wait till the RPM comes low enough to put it into gear. You will be able to hold the car better. I had stock stock breaks and was able to hold my car without any problems with 22psi on a Big 16g. Make sure everything is in 100% working order.

yeah i got it to work now..
been making some money too, its nice.. heh
i just pull my e brake.. then drive forward till my rear tires are locked..
then i jam my brake and gas down
i can launch from my full stall
and still just sit there
its nice :)

I should've mentioned that....I bought a Crane vacuum reserve tank, that sits in between the brake booster and the intake manifold.
Is that where you mounted yours Bob?

Yes, that be the place.

After years of using the tank, I still question the one-way valve in the stock line being between the tank and brake booster or should it be between the tank and intake?

Actually, that's a great question. I'll have to test the difference when I get my 95 on the road.
