thanks a lot much appreciated

I would use duplicolor paint, and depending on how well you want them to turn out and how durable you want the paint to be, get 2 cans primer, 2 color, 1-2 clear coat. Take the wheels off, tape the tires off, and of course wipe and sand the rim. Primer, sand, repeat. Get to the color and do the same steps as with the primer. Then clear coat.

My bro and I did the rims on his old srt-4 and it took us around a full day, but the rims looked like they were professionally painted and never got a rock chip on them.

Forget paint, powder coat your wheels. Powder coating will out last paint, it’s almost impossible to chip; it's done by someone else saving you the hassle of wasting a day painting them, and makes surfaces its coated in virtually impervious to corrosion, not that your aluminum wheels need any help with that.

I highly doubt that he wants to spend 200+ to get his shitty wheels professionally powdercoated.

Wetsanding, Priming, Painting (i think they actually make wheel paint now, i saw some at autozone), CC (of you want to).

Easy process, you prolly could have searched for the answer.

Also, i'd take the wheels off or you might run into making the paint run.

You might get overspray on your car also if you don't take them off. But if you're painting them white and your car is white then I guess that wouldn't matter too much. Also, the talon's wheels aren't aluminum. They're steel rims with a hard foam coating that is painted silver. You can tell by pressing on them really hard with your finger and the foam will compress a bit. So i dont know how well sanding will work for them.

what you need to do is get a body kit and paint it primer and paint the wheels primer too..... i guess it is what everyone is doing these days, its all i seem to see on the highway.

1. If he is too lazy to even take the rim/tire off of the car do you think he is going to want to have the tires demounted, rims coated, and then tires mounted again? Doubt it.

2. Pull the rims off of the car.

3. Pretty basic. Scuff them lightly, tape off the tires, prime, paint, clear. No need for wetsanding.

i put a set of the wide six spoke wheels off of a 2000 gt v6 eclipse on my car. I used a gunmetal metalic from an 80's camaro. I used ppg automotive paint and dc 4000 clear coat. I have a friend that owns a body shop and he let me buy materials at cost. Cost me $40 bucks to paint em and they look factory new! I just used scotch brite to scuff em up. Get ready for a whole lotta rubbin'. After that I wiped em down with denatured alchohol and sprayed primer. Then two coats of color and two coats of clear! Pure sexy!
