Just got through with an epic round of repairs that included replacing the water pump, alternator, all the belts to include the timing belt, and the timing belt tensioner. Finally, after over a year of running around with an improperly set balance shaft, the car feels right. The only problem is it doesn't sound quite right.
There's a chatter sound coming from the back of the engine in the vicinity of the fuel rail. Above 3,000 RPM it goes away, but below it just chitter-chats away. Visually, everything looks fine. Suggestions?
