so i just got a new sony xplod head unit and im having problems installing it becuase i was being stupid and greedy and didnt buy the plug and play adapter. so i thot i could get it to wire to the new harness but i cant figure out all the wires. i have a 98 eclipse gs with the infinity system. its the cd player on top with the main unit with tape player on bottom. any one know the wire diagram for the stock unit!?

i have cut the wires and i know its not hard and iknow its a pain. i was asking for the wire diagram. and thanks to the other post but the vfaq didnt help it didnt have my year so i dono... and the other one wasnt all the wires i neededGIZMO said:

ya i dono how i missed it either but thanks. uhmm thats not for the infinity system so its not exactly the same... and it sez the front left and right front speakers go to the smae wire...does that sound right? doesnt to me and there is no just black wire on my cars old harness and also there is no black with a white stripe either...so that wont work for mesilvercoupe97 said:I'm not sure how you missed it though, since I linked you directly to page 3.

I rewire all of the decks that ive installed (as in not buying the harness), mainly because its cheaper... so props on that i guess. But idk about the sony units.... im not a big sony guy
well this is the first problem ive had with it ive done my eagle my gf's 2 sunfires and my freinds suburban NEVER had a problem till this eclipse so i dono. like i said i hav a freind at an audio shop who is gonna helpChumadelsoki said:
