I don't know if anyone has ever taken off the plastic side panels on the lower half of the 1G talon's doors, but the way it is secured is there are a bunch of plastic clips that pop in to holes in the door, and those plastic clips are fastened to the plastic door panel with metal brackets. (understand?) Anywyas what happened on mine was the metal brackets rusted and broke, and then the front of the panel came off the car just enough to dent in the front fender when i opened the door. DOH! So i removed the panel completely, but I don't know the part number of the brackets nor can I find them anywhere! Does anyone have suggestions on how to reinstall the panel? There was also some doubleface tape on it, which was a bitch to remove.. scratched my car a bit.. Anyways Should I just make do with 1/2 the clips and use doubleface tape? Or some sort of sealant/glue? Actually if anyone knows the brackets I'm talking about and where I could get some that would be wicked too. This is really pissing me off.. I've been riding without the door panel for months
Thanks

Im having the same problem with my passenger side clip... Im looking for some sort of epoxy or sealent i can use but do not know if this is the best way to go at it..... anybody?

Yea my passenger side on my 2g in the rear at the top it's coming off. The other where too but I just bought new plastic clips for 'em. But in that area the part that holds the plastic clip on the skirt broke off. So i gotta find another method.

At least you didn't have the jackass pervious owner try to glue the door to the panel and compleatly fill 2 of the clip holes. So now i have to have the shit professionally drilled out or chipped off so it doesn't Eff up the door.

People are freekin stupid.

Otherwise, just hop out to a boneyard and ninja some clips that look good. Thats what i did for my Drivers side.

Weird, I have never seen these metal brackets that the clips go in. On my 2G the clip popped directly into the sheet metal of the door and slid into a plastic molded anchor in the body piece.
Looking in CAPS I don't see any metal brackets either.

3M an SEM make a two part epoxy that is dispenced through a special caulk gun type unit, and is made for this purpose. It's called panel-bond and is about 30$ but the stuff will hold for life. Check a local auto paint store and they will generally let you use the gun with a deposit. it's the only way to avoid breaking those plastic clips for the rest of your cars life. It's the same stuff unibody cars are seamed together with (aside from welding) and I've used it at my shop for years to mold body kits...never had a crack in the bodywork when I used this stuff. And remember...bondo is for perfecting, not constructing.
