First off I have searched a great deal of time to try to fix my car.
I have 92 talon awd turbo with 2g maf, stock injectors,safc-2,front mount intercooler and hard piping,255 walboro pump rewired,15 lbs boost, aem wideband, data logger and some other things (afpr and 550 injectors on the way).
I was testing for boost leaks using pvc tubing and air compressor on front of the turbo and found my intercooler leaking and throttle body leaking. I fixed both of the leaks and put everything back together went to start it and it started right back up, but then the car started to idle slower and the af ratio went lean and the car will quit. I have check all the vaccume lines and gone over everthing, no codes, put in a new o2 sensor. I also checked my coolant temp sensor.
Could it be a fuel filter thats what it feels like, but it ran perfect before boost leak test and I did install a different battery optima because my other went dead trying to start a million times

thanks

There have been people that had trouble with the rewire with similar situations as yours. Check to see if you have the proper amounts of voltage going to the fuel pump. :)

my pump is getting pleanty of juice, I hear it really good I have no carpet.
The thing that I can not figure out is I had everything done and it ran fine, but when I did a boost leak test and fixed some leaks the problem started.

The car just starts up fine then it goes lean and stops.
I tried giving it gas I can keep it running until i let off.

I wonder if you're having ECU issues, and it's retarding the timing of the engine.
No CEL??

I am getting no codes now, there was coolant sensor code, but I fixed that a wire was loose.
I can log anything with my logger and none of the info seems to help.

the car just starts up and idles for a second or 2 and starts to go lean all the way to max out the wideband and I usally turn it off first though.

I'm stumped at the moment, but I will brainstorm this :)

Well the new filter looks nice but it did not do the trick.
I also checked again no codes.

What else to check cam sensor or if that did not work it would not start?

coolant ok
throttle position ok
could it be a maf sensor in the 2g, could I check that with the karmen gauge on the safc-2?

This is suppost to be my daily driver, but it reminds me so much like my other project cars or my rock crawler!!!

Any ideas would be appreciated good or bad

I think I have found the problem. I was logging everything I could and checking the numbers and found that my karmen or air flow count was low
what should it be at idle?
Have to check safc-2 splice and the splice that the original owner did to wire up the 2g maf.

thanks

rechecked boost leak and I can hear a hiss from the intake manifold but I can't find any bubbles but can hear it. I rotated the engine over at different points and can still hear it.

now I can get the car to run but at only 11lbs vac. going to take off manifold and replace gasket and see

replaced intake and throttle body gaskets, removed all emissions, and cleaned and painted everything total tune up all fluids done, timing belt next week with injectors. I also installed afpr.
Now the car runs so nice, I must have had a lot of little boost leaks in vaccum lines because she pulls really hard and spools up much faster.

Thanks for the help most of it was from the magic button
