camshaft regrinds

I was just wondering where I could get it done and if it is worth it. Because I saw a bidding war on a pair of regrinded camshafts on ebay that the seller said was suspose to be just like the hks 272s.

Any feedback reply.

Too much material is cut off if you go with a 272 profile, you'd need to re-harden the cams again if you want them to last long. A 264 profile is probably the most you'd want to cut off.

Check out Fp2 cams. They are comparable to 272 and are comp regrinds. They are also 214 each cam. The fp1 cams are compared to the hks 264's.

check out the dks cams made by ffwd

they are replica's of the hks, but 350 for both

i know im going to them whenever i have some extra cash laying around.

How do you increase the duration by cutting OFF material? What about the lift?

With a washer under the lifter.

Removing material on the base circle makes the lobe seem larger.

I currently run the 272/272 DKS cam setup and had nothing but good experiences with them. Only downside is...combined with prothane mounts...it lopes hard as SH!T, alot of vibration in the cabin....if you care about noise....these things sound nasty.

ima get these when i have some extra cash laying around. did you shim the lifters at all?

no, they bolted right in no modifications required...i take them upto 7500 rpm all day long, no signs of scoring or any other sort of cam failure...great buy
