Hi,

I have noticed something strange and it scares me! about having CW.
When I go WOT. Sometimes the engine revs uf prette quick, but the car isn't really going forward or gaining speed.
It's a little bit like I rev in neutral.

Strange...

Well then your clutch is probably slipping. Have you checked the disengagement and adjusted it correctly?

ok even though the crankwalk issue is way over discussed, and there are 1000's of threads, i read somthing here i wasnt familiar with.......turning left and "hearing" and bad sound...... I checked for c-walk i think the last time was last week, and prior to that satan checked it like 2 months ago and its A-ok, however i never read about the noise. Can someone decribe that as best as possible. ive noticed that when i turn left going somwhat fast i hear a crazy rattling/wierd noise, hard to describe.

ps. sorry for thread jacking,

How high is your clutch pedal adjusted? 2gs have a bleeder valve that can get blocked and cause pressure buildup as you drive.

If you are having difficulties finding a 6 bolt in Switzerland try looking in Germany. I think they even have their own website and fourums. Or you can try looking in the Netherlands! They have a website for sure! I have spoken to them before. Unfortunately I don't have their link saved in my favourites. If everything fails PM me and I can probably find you one here in Hungary;) There are around a 150 DSMs here and we do have a bunch of them parted out in our garages :D

Yeah. my RPMs have always dipped a bit when I press the clutch. Been what, about 30k miles since I bought the car? NO crank end play, it's been checked. But then I have more idle problems then I care to get into right now, so it could very well be related to the ISC or FIAV.

Did you confirm what the mechanic said about it going away when the car is warmed up? Because all my problems magically disappear once the engine is warm, crankwalk wouldn't get better when it's warmed up.

I think people overhype the rpm's dropping with the clutch pressed in. If it drops significantly with the clutch in is when you should worry. Most cars idle between 7-800prm and are constantly going up and down 50-100rpm at idle. How do you know it just isn't luck that the rpm's drop down to 700 when you press the clutch. Not to mention that if your clutch disengagement is crappy the clutch could be dragging and slipping slightly which would slow down the engine. Now if you are stepping on the clutch and its dropping 300rpm you have an issue. My 7bolt seemed to drop rpm when i stepped on the clutch and then I put years of driving and racing on it with no problem. 6bolt probaly drops a little too, I never bothered to look.

Just don't sit on the clutch at lights and get rid of the clutch-in to start the car. Change the oil and the car will most probaly be fine.

I would check what KmansTsi said about the clutch master cylinder, I ran into the same problem of pumping up pressure in the clutch by mis-adjusting the clutch pedal, caused the clutch to pre-load and slip, it sucked.

Hi,
great news.
The clutch cut wire wasinstalled but not selected on dsmlink.
I checked it. When it's not selected, Idle is dropping when clutch is pushed.
When I select it, idle isn't dropping when I push the clutch.

So I suggest the other problems I have are related to an inproper clutch install.....
Hopefully no CW

Can anyone tell me what this clutch cut does when its activated? What shift limit should i take, what launch speed and coast FC ajd?

Thanks

Did your mechanic step the flywheel to the correct specs. Most aftermarket clutchs need a different step then the stock one. If he just resurfaced the flywheel to stock specs and your clutch needs a different step then that can cause some of the problems your having with your clutch.
