i had a o-blast srt 4 and my best was 12.7 @ 113mph. Thats with DR and stage 2 with all bolt ons and tuned with safc. On the highway they seem to be monsters good gearing and all but their little turbo's give out early. But from a stop they suck, 320 foot pounds of torque on stock bfg rain radials = no traction till 3rd. But from a roll i think ur done. Go from a stop and make it interesting.
 
Yeah, I don't want to say it, but it's the truth. These Srt-4's are fast cars, and have potential as well. You slap a 50 trim along with the supporting mods and you'll be running some decent numbers. I know us DSMers don't like hearing it, because it is a Neon, but we will have to learn to accept it. No flames please :p:p

srts are i believe some of the fastest on the 50trim....

I dont see many 50 trims in dsms running low 11s....or even tens...they have more then A handful...

the srt is a very capable car and i believe with a GREAT driver they cut high 13s stock..
 
I saw a handful of SRT-4's run at Englishtown this summer for Turbo Dodge day. There were more than a handful of SRT-4's running 13 and 12 second times, and a few folks who slapped drag radials on managed to touch 11's. What really impressed me is that unlike Hondas that have perpetual traction problems when launching, as long as they were the '03 and up, or an '02 with an aftermarket LSD, they had no problem getting off the line, and a lot of them had sub 2-second 60 footers.

They're fast learners too. It was a completely different scene from last year when they could barely get out of their own way.
 
Funny thing, there is a guy at my work who wants to race me really bad and he has a supposed "Stage 2" set-up. I do know he has an upgraded fmic, exhaust w/dump-tube, and boost controller set at 20 psi. After I get a muffler on the car and some new tires (bald right now) preferably DRs I will take him up on his offer. :D I definately respect srt-4's but I feel pretty good about my chances....

Or it could be because the SRT-4 model Neon has a great powerband and makes power at nearly every rpm. It could be because it has it is a very torquey motor thus pulling them down the track faster. Or it could be because they are made well and they never fall out of there powerband. I am not a fan of the Neon, and I'll never go out and buy one, but I know and respect all cars. I don't point fingers and laugh at a certain car because of the name of it. Talk shit on these cars all you want, but when you roll up to one and point and laugh cause its just a stupid Neon, I would hope to be there to watch it bitchslap the smile off of your face.

Last I checked.. All engines that are running make power at every rpm.. :confused: Maybe its just me though?

Im sorry, did I hurt your e-feelings? Plus how do you get that I was degrading, when I took what you said and made a joke out of it? If you think thats degrading, then you dont need to be on the internet.. Pussy? haha.. Btw, what am I starting? I just stated a simple comment about engines making power through the rpm's.. If you would spell check your sentences and words before you click the submit button and make sure everything makes sense then this wouldnt happen.. Thats all Im getting at.. Oh and Grow up..
 
I've owned 5 dsm's and a 2004 SRT-4

SRT-4 Just a 3in exhaust and a wastegate actuator trapped 106. With slicks the car went 13.0

1996 Talon AWD Big T-28 trapped 114.

If you are tuned well it should be a good race regardless..Lets hear some results!!
