So tonight I started my car just to move it for someone who was blocked in and I tried to start it up and it idled very roughly and shut off. Then after a few more tries came to life. Then, while it was running, I looked under the hood and saw some smoke coming from the engine bay which normally isn't that odd because of my large oil leak but I don't think this is related. I also smelled a strong odor of fuel and the idle sounded off the whole time it ran. Any ideas?

That make might good sense. Since I bought my car it had been unable to get heated up as quickly as it should. I thought my thermostat may be stuck open but maybe not.GotARed said:

Temp sensor ? WTF is that ? Seriously.
Where is the smoke coming from ? What color smoke ? What smell is the smoke ? More details and I'm sure someone can give you an "actual" answer.

A temp sensor can make the car run like crap, by tellining the ecm to add to much fuel. He may not of said that, but it is a good suggestion.BABAGANOOSH said:
Other things you need to check / do would be basic roubleshooting , and maintanence (wires ,plugs,fuel filter,air filter, oil and water flush,t-stat) They say if the car isnt in good order , modifications dont work to well, and sometimes against you, but it is all the same when trying to find a problem as well.
