I just sold my fp green and was also looking at this turbo. Unlike some of you Im in a gst and not sure how well it would work out.Ive heard mixed reviews and would also like to know what the best cam set up to run with this turbo would be. Thanks
Sean

I have staggered HKS 264/272 and starts spooling by 3900. I have a bad wastegate diaphragm so I cannot give anymore info until later this week. I bet this turbo would pull like crazy in your FWD on the highway!!!

Starts spooling as in 1psi at 3900? Or what do you mean?

Sorry, no if I remember correctly around 15psi and my boost setting of 22psi by 4800rpms. I am sure no matter what your max boost is (up to 30psi) can be reached by 5200rpms. Let me get my wastegate fixed and I will do a breakdown of the settings below.

PUMPGAS
- 3900rpm start boost amount and 20psi reach rpm

100 OCTANE
- 24psi reach rpm

100 OCTANE
- 26 psi reach rpm

111VP + 50 shot (IF I feel tune is safe)
- 22psi + 50 shot

^^ ya it is a tad bit laggy but that number is a guess for now. I am still waiting to fix my wastegate so I can do the write-up. Also, I plan on using nitrous to spool it so thats why it was my choice.

im going to be ordering one of these in the next couple days so i hope its worth it. 950's are big enough for this right?

I am sure 950's will do. I am running 680's and have a low base pressure and run rich as hell. Just make sure ya have a good pump and good voltage to it you'd be surprised how much of a difference voltage makes on air fuel ratios.

I'm seeing 20psi on my T70 by 5000, seems to me yours should spool quicker than that.

Yeah my slower spool-up was probably due to a tear found in my wastegate diaphragm.

Mine is up and boosting by 4200-4400 and if you only knew the exhaust I run I'd get slapped.
hum... I'd guess a .82 since thats the largest a/r offer in the t3 flange for this particular turbo.

Like I said mine is probably due to a bad wastegate diaphragm. I will let ya know.

6152S in the .63, 80% DC through 850cc inj on a hotwired 255, spool up to 24psi is around 4500 rpm with 101 octane and 21 degrees timing.

I have a hair of a miss up top sometimes but it pulls great and I have already caught and passed many V8's while being bus lengths behind.

I have this turbo waiting to go on a fully built setup, hoping to see a high ten off the bottle with a wicked tune.

Funny thing to note, have any of you ever measured your exhaust wheels?

Turns out I really have a SCM-6169e in the mitsu bolt on housing. The T350 turbine wheels gets put on back order all the time, so alot of the 6152's got built with the T04 wheel.

http://www.precisionturbo.net/turbochargers-display.php?company_id=101795&category_id=3026

There's the chart, yeh I know it's for the SC's, the M just designates the mitsu turbine housing, and the SCM chart stops at the 6152.

Anyways...any updates on this turbo's performance? The guy I got it from ran a mid ten on a 2.4 with it.

I can't wait to get this thing giong.

All this talk about the 6152 is getting me giddy. I should be getting mine installed this weekend, so I'll report back when I get her running.

It's a big jump from a 16g!

OH MY GOD thats a good lookin turbo!!
Anyone have some updates to this? Im really debating on this. I have a 92 talon, currently 14b powered (for breakin). Eagle rods, Ross 8.3:1, BC 272's, FP Race Manifold, FIC 950's, DSMLink and so on.

Im still on the stock trans so shifting at 8000+ is sketchy.

Any input here? possibly a good match? I REALLY like the sp cover!!

So anywhere between the scm6027 to the scm6152 is what im debating mainly..

Any advice?

Thanks alot,
Bob.
