I'd say it being cold/warm has nothing to do with it, do a boost leak test.

And search

Then I would definitly do another one just in case. If you didnt before, use soapy water and go to town. Bubbles will form at your leaks making it alot easier to see where the leaks are.

Other than that, check your plugs and see if they are fouled at all. If so, post pics of them. They can tell you alot about whats goin on.

Hopefully someone can chime in with other ideas.

here is the deal with this car , its actually a customers of mine. the car was originally done at tuner transformation and they did a pretty shitty job to the point the car blew up on the way back to philly from canada. my customer had the motor rebuilt with weiscos, eagles ( the works) he attampted to put the motor in but it wouldnt start so it was dropped off to me. everything appears to be good now except this crazy hopping. another thing i noticed is that idle control unit does not have coolant going to it seems like tuner transformation bypassed it. (doubt thats the issue though) car has an agp turbo, txs detec, walboro pump, and i do not know the injector size. the car supposedly ran fine on the way back till it overheated and thats when the motor went. also checked the plugs and they appear to be fine. the weird part is im not getting any cels on the scan tool.

The hopping and bucking seems like a bad tune. What are you using to tune that car? SAFC(2)? DSMLink? It also sounds like a boost leak. Although he said he did the test already, it really sounds like it. Do it again, soak all the questionable spots with soapy water (all intercooler couplers, throttle body, etc.) and watch for bubbles. Pressurize the system to about 15-18psi and see what happens.
