Best ground location in trunk?

Hey guys, what is the best place for a Battery ground in t he trunk, on a 90 Tsi? I tried a couple bolts under the carpet but none seem right.

4 guage setup

You can always drill a new hole. Just be careful that you don't puncture your gas tank. Some idiot was grounding some audio stuff in a CRX I used to own, and drilled into the gas tank. I had to drop the tank to fix his stupidity.

You can take off a little paint and create your own spot, which may be the best for you in the first place.

Back right hand side corner. I got the plastic box drilled in no problem, but grounding is a little tricky.

I may just try drilling my own.

Go for it. As long as it's covered up, who cares where it is, as long as it's not hurting anything.

Use one of the shock tower bolts. Make sure you clean the paint off. By far the best existing ground back there without a doubt.

Nonsense!! If you use proper gauge wire and wire it properly the 18" thing is bullshit.

It's best to keep ALL wiring to the shortest length possible.

As far as a good ground spot, use a nut/bolt/washer combo and attach through the floor area (around muffler is safest). Self tapping screws through the thin floor metal is a VERY bad idea.

I always use seatbelt bolt just use a bigger gauge ground

^^ There it is. Get rid of the paint in this area too. I've ran 0 gauge wire to this bolt then to a distribution block...works great.

i Used the hole for the spare tire. It worked great.

I grounded the paint off of a spot in the spare tire well, then used a self tapper with some silicone!

yeah any large bolt like a seatbelt bolt will work just fine. as long as its metal and sturdy and no paint on it your good.
