I've owned both and I like my DSM better.

STOCK dsm's are pretty damn reliable. Our problem is that every one of us fuck around with our engines :p

If I had to choose between a honda or a dsm for a DD it would be a Honda. While I still love the Dsm you cant beat 30+ MPG vs. 20+MPG (DSM). BTW I would not do a single thint to the Honda I would just keep it stock because it would never feel the same as a DSM.
 
I kinda like not having to worry about traction issues, have fun making power with a honda.

Honda's do make great dd's though, just leave it stock and drive it til the wheels fall off.
 
get two or three DSMs and you'll always have at least one to drive. :)

The funnest part... me and the buddy I'm renting an apt. with both work at the same place. I have two DSMs (one N/T) and he has a civic. Supposedly we'd always have some way to get to work. One week all three cars were down at the same time. :)) Really embarrassing.
