Ok guys figured this is pretty much a noob question since this is my first clutch replacement:

I have ordered an ACT 2600 clutch kit and my question is, is it a good idea to also order an after market flywheel?

Must I order one because the stock flywheel is not good enough?
Or is it just a matter preference?

My goal is 350-400 whp if this helps at all.

Thanks guys I need some experienced answers.

If your planning on those goals, I'd suggest you pick up a lightened one. Or take it to a reputable machine shop and have them work their magic and take some weight off of it. I'd say get a lightened one though.

Do you think it will jeopardize performance that much if I don't buy one? How is your experience from stock flywheel and lightened flywheel? Thanks for the input guys!

I love the lightened flywheel. I don't drag, but just to be able to rev the engine that fast is great. People say it's hard to drive in parking lots or at low speed but that's bullshit. I love it. It makes it really easy to rev-match.
