I bought used kyb agx's with sportlines.

They work fine. I dont see what the big deal is, there are tons of people running them. Maybe thats why you see more people having problems with them.

Thats just my personal experience. This is on my 1g AWD thought.

I think anybody who sees this thread will reconsider now, unless they have stock springs right? because thats what you guys are saying is that theyre ok with stock height springs? So ok this is what im thinking im gonna get them just for the rear and put my stock springs on, nobody is giving me any inptut though on the traction wise point of view,
I had AGX with Whiteline springs before. The problem with AGX is not only that they cannot be lowered too much, but the AGX shocks also does not have enough rebound forces to handle stiffer spring rate than the stock rate.

It does have plenty of bump force, though.

What this means is that your car will have both a rough ride ( the high bump force ), and a bouncy ride ( due to lack of rebound force to control the aftermarket stiffer springs oscillation )

Hmm Im running AGX's with 1.8" drop sportlines. I havnt drove the car yet, but Ill see how they hold up. I dont see what the big deal is...I had my eibachs on my stock shit ass struts with 180,000K on them!

I use to have AGX's with Sprint springs (2in I think). It definitely was a rough ride on bad roads. I basically would bottom out the front shocks on bad pot holes. I eventually switched back to Eibach Pro kit, and have enjoyed the ride ever since.

^^^ K. You could really find the answers to your questions by searching. But I'll try to give you a ballpark idea.

If you want to use AGX's then don't plan on dropping the car more than 1.5".

That's been said so many times I have it committed to memory. And why the heck would you put stock springs on an aftermarket strut?

Yeah I know. That's why I asked. I don't think you can find 'performance' springs that are at stock height.
Exactly, agx's definitely werent made to be matched with stock height springs. I have close to a 2 in drop and they're fine. Maybe I got lucky or something. But I agree, ofcourse, that the agx's should be fine with a 1.5 inch drop.

Test drove my future car :crosses fingers: wit agxs and 2" drop, it was rough but u get used to it, at first i was like OMG this is horrible, but a mile or so and its fine.

:D Yeah its ruff, but thats what happens with sportlines.:p

I have to keep atleast a 1/4 tank off gas in my car cause off how fast my car can take a turn, lol. It'll lose fuel completely then kick back in.
