well i got a little happy with my car today and started taking stuff apart....now i am not 100% sure but as i can tell it looked like sludge or oil on the outside of my turbo manifold....thats not good correct?...also i noticed that there are 2 bolts to the manifold that are missing....anybody able to tell me if i am good or are my rings bad?....my assumption is blow-by....anyone can help?

Why would you think your oil control rings are bad from oil on the outside of the engine? Do you think it leaked out of your exhaust manifold or something? It would of burned up before it leaked ussually.

Clean it, see if it comes back.

i Noticed a lot of sludge and oil just right next to the exhaust manifold...there was 2 missing bolts so i figured that the oil was coming out the exhaust port???....i do not know...can u lead me in a direction/?

check all your manifold studs for tightness immediately and replace the missing ones ASAP. Some of the studs intrude into oil galleys in the head and the only thing stopping the oil from coming out of the hole is the stud itself.

Also because you have been missing studs, your manifold is probably warped and you may find that you have a small exhaust leak even after replacing and tightening the studs. To fix this you'll need to have the mani planed flat again.

That is very true!

It really just sounds like you have an exhaust leak and theres sludge built up around where it leaks.

how is that possible?
Ever noticed the hose coming out of the left side of your valve cover? Follow that tube next time you pop your engine. It will go into your intake pipe. Blow by goes into thise hose and in result goes into your intake which ends up in your intercooler and the piping. That is how it is possible. To prevent that you can go to your local auto parts store and buy a cheap inline fuel filter and install it between the hose and intake pipe. As for the manifold. If studs are missing I'm sure you have an exhaust leak. Is the car running badly?
