Sorry man, but anyone can read through your posts and see that you were provoking him and being an ass from the get-go. Calling him a "little girl", talking about his "straight stupidity", and saying he didn't even have "common sense", etc. etc., all because you brought up his other thread for no reason and bashed on his amp. But if that was all "a joke" to you, then don't worry bud, I'm just "joking" too. So all joking aside, have a nice day.

You really have no clue do you. Here is my very first post.

Remember guys, this guy lives his life a 1/4 mile at a time. And for those few seconds (uh hum) as long as the amp stays on then life is ok.

It is a shame that these profile amps are about twice the size of my Rockford power 800a4 and put out about 800 watts less then it.
Do you see me calling him any names or such in that post? Let alone that that post was ment in humor. He responded negatively to that post and that is where the name calling began so I am sorry that you do not have any clue but STFU and move on.

Looking at the amp, i spoted something. Theirs only 2 fuses? Maybe their 25a fuses, but even my Memphis 1000/1 pr amp has 4 35 fuses, so in other words. Its pushing maybe... 400watts?

Dont let me put u down though, who cares what everyone else says. I wanted 6 12s in a little box, its in my trunk now. Forget what people say, its YOUR CAR. you do what YOU want to do to it.

Usually when shitty brands say 1000watts, its 1000max watts...whatever that means:rolleyes: . Usually overrated about 150%...So yeah, it says 500watts rms@2ohms, but I'd bet that'd over rated as well.

I bought an amp like this off ebay as well. It was a Pyle 1600watt amp. And i thought it did have a nice amount of bass, i paid like 150 for it including shipping (i live in canada) i sold it 4 months after for fear it would blow up. It was that amp in a box with 2 fusions 12's sold for 400 bucks. Went and bought one 12jbl in a Sealed box with a mtx2002 amp and have 25 bucks to spare and i have more, cleaner, tight bass, that i know won't blow the fuck up in a couple months.

Moral of the story is you get what you pay for.
Works the same way for, well, just about everything in life. The build quality and component quality of inexpensive audio equipment is usually pretty bad.

Sure the amp sounds great now, but it probably won't last until next year. But then again the keyword is probably...good luck! (no really)

The question is, is the really a better value in the long run?

Yes it may be cheaper to start with, but if a high quality amp lasts 10+ years, and you're putting in a new one of these every 6 months, year, or even couple of years, then isn't the quality amp a better value?

What about the time (your time) wasted trouble shooting/fixing/replacing said amp? at what point does your time become worth money?

I have a PG Ti 400.2, no its not a a monster amp, puting up about 425 wrms at 4 ohms, but in 3 years of ownership, 3 different cars, countless different setups it has cut out on me 1 time. That one time it cut out was caused by stupid girl setting my cd case right on top of the fan. As soon as the amp got hot, it tuned its self off. As soon as I let it cool back down, turned right back on. It has drivven everything from a 3 ohm JL 8w7, 2 ohm (bridged, lets see if your 100$ ebay amp can do that)loads, and currently a 4 ohm mtx 5500 10".

Shure I paid a bunch for it, even on close out. But The little thing like gold plated connections, an actual birth sheet rating that put out more power than advertised while still mataining a better than advertised 115db s/n ratio (again lets see the 100$ ebay amp post that kind of s/n ratio), all the connections on one side(helps clean up your install), 4 awg power inputs on a 400wrms amp.

For those saying they dont last did you completely miss my post? I've had one for 4 years, running at 2 ohms and it sounds the exact same as the day i bought it, its well worth the money you pay for it. I've never had any problems.

It's still a POS. Open it up and look at the guts and wasted fluff space in there.

dude that amp is horrid....
S/N Ratio : >100dB

^^^ WTF greater than 100db lmao...thats not good...my old power acoustik was 83db and it sounded alright, now i have a 1000amp jl amp thats like 76db or something and wow....yea i come to the conclusion that this amp is beat...im sorry :)

Seems like your really negative on every post you put:p
Well based on the quality of half these new threads I don't blame him. It's like being served a flank steak (at best) when you're used to a nice Porterhouse or Filet. I'd be/am pretty disgruntled by it too...

A higher S/N ratio is preferred. 100 isn't bad some of the high end amps run 105 S/N ratio. 76 and 83 is extremely low.
