Alright guys, finally my transmission is shifting BUT>...............

on the reverse its not bad, throtle response nicely, but in forward it feels like I am towing a semi tractor, there is no HP, :0(

its an automatic transmission by the way on a 1995 eagle talon TSI AWD , installed a JDM 4G63 with transmission

I noticed a bad wire connection on the alternator, could it be just that ????????????

NEEEEEED HELP!!!
Thanks
Danny

Could be in "safe mode". When the car automatically stays in 3rd gear. Also, it could be something horribly messed up. I hear that the gear ratios between different year transmissions for DSMs are different. 95-96 is diff from 97-99, and so forth...

I know. This is the automatic transmission forum. Your transmission has 3 gears, and overdrive (4th gear). If you leave overdrive on, you have 4 gears. If you turn it off, you have 3 gears. If the transmission "malfunctions" or detects something that could cause a problem, it keeps the transmission in 3rd gear, or safe mode, or limp mode. If you try driving in 3rd gear all the time, you acceleration will suck until you hit a ceratin speed/rpm.

Where is this fuse. Will it make the car not move when rev it. Tranny seems to clunk into gear but car don't move at all no matter how much I rev it.

Ok found where the fuse is and will check it shortly. Hope its that easy to fix my car. I do have several other fuses blown.Guy that owned the car before me wasn't too bright it seems. I have no power windows,no power locks.no heater fan.And mabye a few other things . And car won't move forward or back at all.
What exactly are the symptoms of a blown tcu fuse?
