Figured i would run my friend for the hell of it this weekend, his mk2 vr6 ran mid 13's on bf's A/M (no boost or juice). so i wanted to run up against him to see if i could atleast hang for a bit. my car is 2g with small 16g hard piping all around. hallman mbc, intake, type -s bov, short shifter. 2.5" dp. do i have a chance or am i going to bite the dust heavily?
 
I'm speaking on behalf of the guys of the on here. Don't type Race, Just Do It!!! and you will get your answer.

There are a lot of little things that going to add up. like drive, car's condition, road condition etc....
 
Hey I own both cars, my VR6 is stock though but even if I put a 50 shot on it I don't think it would win. Torque feels faster from the jump but when that 16g hits its over. I have your same set up on 17psi but mine is on a GSX so your car should be a little quicker :)

Why are all you guys lying to him? Come on, we all know that the V-dub will walk him by a mile in the 1/4 mile. :p

finally got some decent weather and got a little action... got my ass handed too me..:( run #1 from a dead stop. spun threw 2nd and hooked in 3rd and he started to creap on me in 4th got me by a car and a half. run #2 2nd gear roll 40mph i was hanging and then i missed 5th:( (dammit) . 3rd run another 2nd gear roll he got me on the jump and i was at his bumper.. which is ok in my book, because its a mid 13sec car so that gives me an fair idea where i stand on the 1/4.

i might have to build another a/m vw just for fun. its a lil cheaper and a little more reliable. i figured if my friend sprays that motor that he has in his car now it will easily put him into the 12's but idk how reliable he will be after that..:)

haha called it. you'll be ok get fuel system and full exhaust and put your car on a diet then run it back. 190-200 hp in a light car=mini monster. power to weight ratio is rediculous. i had a friend with a gutted civic eg coupe with a built ls/vtec motor on neptune. car put out a little over 240hp and close to 190 in torque. car was running 12.3/12.4 consistantly but he can drive his ass off he knows that car inside and out.

On my stock GST, I'd be going 130 MPH in 4th gear at around 6k. Either you were going 140 MPH or you shift too soon....
i know my 4th doesnt do 130.. you must have a limited edition trans lol..
