Whats the fastest domestic or import or whatever, that was all stock or had (minor) bolt ons, that you’ve beaten with your 2g stock or (minor) modded AWD/FWD turbo DSM
Can a stock 2g GST/GSX/TSI beat a stock 94 5.0 GT rustang or stock 99 gt 4.6 mustang?
Have anyone with their stock 2g GST/X or TSI/Awd,beat a stock mustang GT,the newer models 95 GT 5.0 or 99 gt 4.6?

lousy ford

i beat a 96 or 97 i think Stang GT 4.6...

i hate "rich" kids at my school who get a Stang and think it's all bad and fast and stuff. about 3 weeks ago i was on Woodward north of 13 mile (woodward in michigan - home of the woodward dream cruise every august - famous strip) crusing about looking for races to pass the night. i see some kid in a stang next to me looking tough, so we exchange revs.

the other light turns yellow and i get on it bringing it to about 4500 rpm. then green and go! the stang sits at the light for a sec or two as his wheels slip and i never see him again, only in my rear view mirror, as i continue on my way proud of my first stang kill.

however about three days ago some old man in his lincoln ls from a fast rolling stop and me, sitting patiently at the light, with no launching, were pretty much even , with him pulling away in 3rd gear at about 70 mph when i backed off.

today i beat some really old man in a sharp Z34 with aftermarket exhaust by a hair to abour 45 mph.

I RACE RESPONSIBLY!!!

The fastest car ive beat was either a AUTO trans am 5.7 litre. The trans am i raced three times from light to light...everytime i raced him i beat him by a hair...this guy was very pissed after...he showed me the craziest brake stand/burnout warming up his tires for the third race. The second fastest would have to be a 2000 auto gt mustang from light to light...I barely beat this guy too but i figure if my nose is infront of his i win...Im not even gonna mention the hondas ive beaten (im not tryin to be cocky..cuz im sure im gonna meet a honda i cant beat)...Btw this was all done wit jus a K&N,free mods, and a 3000gt bov.

When I first bought my car, I raced my best friend in his '94 Integra GSR that was built to the hilt (had every bolt on you can buy less forced induction) and he barely pulled me from a 80 run. When I installed my HKS intake that all went away and he wasn't a race anymore. Right after that he bought a '95 RX-7 R2 and that ended any chances that I'll ever have of beating him again. As it stands now, that car will easily pull low 12 sec. passes.

Supra's & rx-7's

I've whooped up on 2 old school supra's and an old style rx-7. All three I walked by like it was no big deal.

I met up with one supra on the highway and passed him in 4th maybe, not really looking for a race, then he sped up a little. I dropped to 3rd and instantly started to pull all the way to 110 or so. I had a length or two on him by the time we let up. The driver of the supra was an older man and the car appeared to be stock. The supra was an mk3 I think and I don't know if it was turbo'd. I wouldn't think that it wasn't because I know the mkiv's turbo'd lay down 320hp stock!

I met up with another supra same body style with an after-market exhaust. This time a kid was driving. We pased each other for about 5 miles on a semi busy 2 lane road, stopping at lights and reving at each other, but we also had cars in front of us so we couldn't take off. Then after a bit of chasing and weaving (him in front), we got ahead of all the traffic. He had a head start of about 2 cars on me. I got over to the right hand lane (he was in the left), and dropped to thrid maybe...and walked by him no problem. Then we had to slow due to more traffic. Once again, I don't know if his car was turbo'd etc...

Met up with an old school rx-7 at a light. The car looked unmodify and was pretty noisy. Sitting at the light, neither of us really instigated a race too much. After the light turned green, he accelerated faster than normal off the line (he didn't go all out thou). I gave the GS-T enough gas to stay even with him. Then he shifted to 2nd and seemed to get on it alittle harder. I decided to stop playing games. I hit 2nd and pulled on him no prob until about 80mhp where we had to let up due to traffic. As in the other two cases, I don't know much about the older rx-7's so I couldn't tell by looking at it what model it was. I have no clue what year it was but it was old, mid 80's maybe... It had the kind of bubbly looking body style. My room mate was telling me that this sounded like the style that had a rotory engine.

How fast are these two older cars stock, turbo'd and not? I know the lastest model of these two cars turbo'd are way out of my league but I don't know much about the old ones.

what do you guys know about the those older supras. not the newer ones but the gen. before this one. how fast are the turbos, a friend has one and wants to race, i wana know if its even worth it. he said it has 200hp stock, but hes running 7psi boost (i guess thats an improvement over stock) and 3ins from the turbo back. and real shinny wheels which make his car go real fast........

I have a buddy of mine with a 92 5.0 convertible 5 speed. He's always talking about how slow imports are and how the only ones worth racing are $30k + in price. So I challenged him. Whatever right, He was bone stock and I (at the time) had a few free mods. So he took me up on it. I thought I would get killed, but it was a Friday night and we were looking for somthing to do. Off the line my AWD raped him and I held my own all the way untill the end of the local street drag strip. Two car lenghts, and all it took was a decent launch. Needless to say 4 months later and a few thousand I am now big 16g, HRC intercooler pipes and 2.5 Exhaust, high flow cat and ACT 2100. We went at it again and now my only words of advice for v8 heads are; buy a supercharger. I beat his now decently modded 5.0 by at least 10 car lenghts or more, and that was only using 14 pounds of boost on my 95 TSi 16g. Still Stock vs. stock it is close down low, but after a certain speed prepair to be eaten alive.

When I was stock I would beat 93-98 mustangs no problem. Older mustangs and 99-00 are a bit quicker, capable of mid 14's stock. 2G RX7's are no problem and stock preludes, gs-r's Si's are easy kills too. Oh yeah 3rd gen camaros are easy kills too.

Forget about the gs-r, sure it has a nice aftermarket support but it takes too much money to make them fast, plus they look lame IMO.

about those 3rd gen Supra's...the N/A put out 200hp and the turbo put out 232hp and over 250lb/ft, stock!. But, I've seen some pretty wicked turbo one's, a far cry from the 232 stock rating. Be careful against that thing.

I had the older supra 89-92 model. If your buddy doesnt have the turbo, you can buy a kit.

If he already has a turbo, its 222 stock hp. He can raise the boost to 12 before hitting fuel cut. Tell him to check out the supra web site, he needs to address the head gasket (retorque the bolts, its easy).

He can get 300hp (12psi) no problem and cheap. The exhaust is already quiet due to the engine and large turbo. I had an HKS exhaust, but if I was doing it again, would just get a 3 inch pipe made from anywhere, w/o mufflers - still be quiet. Then get a K&N filter. Then, you can put washers inbetween the wastegate, to make it harder to close, and raise the boost to 12psi.

Gimmie an email, and I would love to help this guy out. And yes, definately its worth it. I hope your not comparing 7psi to a DSM 10 psi, because the turbos are alot different. You can get email me if you want more info at pauldaddy@bigfoot.com

Make sure he does the head gasket protection tho! there are lots of tips I can give your friend.

Can I not post in this one since I only have an NT? ;)

The fastest stock car i've beaten was one of those slow a$$ 6cyl newer mustangs. only by 1 car length though ;( Keep in mind though, i got a 1.5" exhaust leak and a buttload of carbon built up in my cylinders. I go about as fast right now as a honda civic dx wagon full of fat guys.

The 99+ Mustang GTs here run high 13s bone stock. My friend ran a 14.02@98 with her stock automatic. Don't expect to be beating any of those if you're not modded. A poorly driven 94-98 GT can be taken out by a well driven DSM easily. Same goes for a very poorly driven 87-93 5.0L (5 speeds of course.) I drive a stock motored 89 5.0L and generally put 4-5 car lengths on stock turbo'd DSMs.

I have had plenty of 5.0's and I doubt you could put 4-5 car lengths on an AWD DSM on the street. At the drags with some decent tires maybe, otherwise forget it. Stoplight to stoplight, RWD will lose to AWD. If you were in Ohio, I'd show you with my Auto AWD.

No doubt that AWD launches better than RWD, but you still need the power to back it up.
My car is stock with the exception of 3.73s and a timing bump, and it's run a best of 14.1@98 on Pep Boys tires. Most stock AWD DSMs I see at the track (which aren't many) are in the low to mid 15s. That's a big enough difference to justify 4-5 cars, which, just to clarify, is by 90 MPH when I generally stop racing.

And you don't need to show me your auto AWD. I'm fully aware of what these cars are capable of in modified form. Of course I wouldn't mind a ride just for the hell of it. :)

No offense meant 89 Mustang dude. I love Mustangs and owned alot of 'em. 2nd best bang for the buck car.)
Rear Wheel Drive is fun, but a real handful on the street. Sounds like we'd be a dead heat anyway- my auto awd vs. your 5.0 anyway. My auto is just my everyday driver...through rain, or sleet or snow....

It would have to be either a 96 V6 Mustang or a 2000 Civic Si. Not sure which one of those is faster....But I've beaten both. I don't think that my car is faster than theirs....that's what makes it cool....I'm just a better driver than they were....

HEY 91eclipsegsx16boy

I live in detroit where abouts in MI do you live and what High School do you go to

You gotta love people who buy fast cars, know nothing about them, and don't know how to drive them. This kind of stuck upidness allowed me to blow the doors off this kid with a 99 camaro SS that his parents must have bought him. That was with the free mods, an exhaust and no cat, no boost control. He just spent way too much time spinning tires and then couldn't make up the ground. He honestly should have eaten me alive. OH WELL!!! :D
