dark grey leather

Well to put it into perspective i bought a mint full set of light grey for $125 and also just traded an older greddy type s for a mint set of dark grey that has 1 small tear on the side of the seat. Leather sux in hot weather but imo they feel 100x better and really hold you in your place when cornering since the side bolstering is much better than stock cloths.

Leather sucks no matter what kind of weather! You freeze your ass in the winter, and slide all over the seat. You burn your ass in the summer, and stick to it like it was the plastic on my momma's sofa. You damn near dehydrate after ridin on a summer day. MAMA I'M STUCK! GET A SPATCHULA AND SOME KOOL AID!:p

Have you ever driven in a turbo car with stock leather seats? They are 100 times better than the 2g design....you slide nowhere cause you get sucked into them and they hold you there. I love them! And I dont know what kinda shorts you wear but i havent worn shorts that were short enuff to expose my thighs enough to touch the seat since the 80s. Or maybe you should stop hanging out with these guys....pink is probably a bad color for you. :p

I agree with you on the 1G leather seats being better than the 2Gs. But I do think that cloth seats are better than leather for the reasons mentioned above. Real race/rally cars have no leather seats either and that probably is for a reason.

And to the original poster: it really depends on the shape they are in, not the color.

Well I agree with you as well....until I drop in my race seats Im using n/t seats since they are alot lighter for the racecar. But in my other dsm I can care less about speed and performance and prefer the feel of 1g leathers over cloth. So it all depends on what your goals are for the car.

I however have to disagree with your color comment. It seems that the darker colors are harder to come by (dark grey and black) and most ppl I know actually prefer dark colors in their car.

Thats just my experience with any car on a hot or cool day. Especially the cars I've owned.:p

If you think the grey leather is nice. You should see the black!!

Clothe sucks, no bolstering. The fwd car i drive with clothe dont hold me in the seat. The seats feel like your in a Tempo , not a dsm. The kid said he'd give me $200 to trade him seats. That would be like taking the seats out of the Benz, and putting my fart can seats in there.

The only leather seats in a 1g I have seen are tan ones from an awd 91 eagle talon, and they were badass, i would copped em but my car is all dark colors and it wouldnt have looked right. Ill take my cloth seats and my pleather/cloth rear seats anyday.

I bought my entire black set, front/rear with door inserts for $200 local. There are pros and cons to both but the look and feel of the leather I think takes the cake although they are heavier which is a down fall, but I did go buy a full leather set over my clothe.

I paid 300 shipped for a full set of black leather seats+ door panels.

However, the guy never shipped them and kept my money................



Moving on, I think leather especially in a dsm is sexy, and no matter the conditions I will always take leather over cloth. In my srt-4 its kind of nice because the seats are trimmed with leather, but the actual part you sit in is high quality cloth, so its win win. Plus the seats hold you in way better.

I have cloth in my 1G Eclipse GS and tan leather in my 1G Talon TSi AWD and I like my cloth seats better.
I just don't fit in the leather seats, my ass must be to big or something :)

But then it seems as if the leather seats are smaller and that I sit much closer to the steering wheel with the leather seats even though I have the seat as far back as possible.
