does anyone have an indepth picture or info on which sensor it is other than what the chiltons manual has?

and when i do find it how can i test it? with a multimeter on ohms or dc or ac?

if you have one can you scan the page for me about kickdown sensor??? i ordered a transmission manul from IPT just now but i gotta wait for it to show up

yes sir thats it..now until my transmission manual comes in can any of you tell me which is the kickdown servo switch???

this is the front of the transmission

and this is showing a sensor of somekind underneath the tranny mount by the shift linkage

The kickdown servo switch connector is the one on the round servo cover. First picture, connector all the way on the right side.

If you have an analog meter, set it to Ohms and follow the directions above. Continuity is indicated by ~0 Ohms. Open loop (no continuity) is infinite resisitance.

i tested the switch it works fine

now i gotta find the real problem and i have no idea where to start since the TCU got reset cause of a dead battery
 
You still might want to check the wiring to the switch. Unplug the switch and test the voltage at the connector. It should show battery voltage (~12V) with the car in the 'ON' position, but not running.

well i called IPT and once i get this valve body out again im sending it to them to look through it inspect it along with the 4 solenoids on it.

i have the ATSG manual and the only other thing thats leading to 3rd gear starts is malfunction of the valve body because every time i reinstall it something different happens

hopefully they can get me back on the road here shortly!!!
 
Good luck. You have my sympathy for being one of the unfortunate ones to have this much hassle with your shift kit install. :(
