Hey guys, I also think it would look better with a two color paint job, thats why I am going to re-paint it before next year. It took me about 1 month of driving to where my car was freezing my @$$ off for about 3-4 hours at a time until I was so fed up with it I sent it out for paint.

90eclipsegst- I didnt mean to highjack your thread just wanted you to see what it looked like painted, keep us posted with the two tone. I believe my paint will fade vertically to charcoal gray I think it will look tough. Good luck and just take your time.

The sticky on the back of my mouldings is starting to wear off, so I'm having to periodically re-stick them. I was wondering how it would look without mouldings, and also if there were any holes to fill... I think I might try it anyway.
Just razorblade the original sticky off, then sand with 180 grit on the part where the sticky was. Then get some 3m double sided tape and trim it to fit without showing from the front. Make sure you have removed all dirt and grease from the molding/body surface with prep sol solvent. It should stay on pretty good if you follow these steps.

Shaving the moldings takes about a months time to get it right. You must be really skilled with a welder also because the panels tend to warp very easily. It is a very tedious process. There are two holes in each of the quarters approximtily 8" by 2" behind the vents. Again I will say this takes time and skill, if its not done right it could ruin your car...is that a risk your willing to take? If so just remeber to take your time and no shortcuts, you will regret it later.

Much props again eclipse90gsx. Cant wait to see it painted. Do you have a timeframe? I can truly appreciate the skill involved in doing this body mod. I love it when people step it up.

Thanxs man yours turned out great to I like the color. We must think alike caues i Have the Same Talon rear bumper a tail lights also. No time frame really trying to get it running before i Move to texas going to school down there at Universal Technical Instituite for auto body technology. Hopefully during or after that.

I went to a vocational high school for auto body/tech. Thats where I learned the skill. We must think alike because I was originally going to paint mine charcoal grey, it is actually my favorite color. :burnout: The 94 talon bumper blends well with the factory 90 moldings and makes the car look lower thats why I went with that one. The car actually came with a laser bumper on it and I had to plastic weld the talon bumper that I found in the jukyard. My quarters were also crushed in so I had to stud gun/ pull those out too. It is still a little wavy, nothing another attack at the paint wont fix. I alos want to change to the 94 talon spoiler (three piece that doesnt go all the way to the hatch glass. I have it but I am still waiting. Before that eprom and tuning.....if I could find one.

Ill try to get some pics of the rear bumper of my car up. It definetley looks and flows with the car lines alot better like you said.
The flow is definately good, even the 90 talon front bumper style line matches the 94 rear. Are you going to keep the eclipse bumper or swap it out? The 92 eclipse bumper looks sick when you cut the dividers out of the middle hole, but then you would have to swap the front clip for the 1gb style lights. When I repaint I am thinking about molding the 94 talon front bumper into the 1ga style lights, I think it will look great, I actually started molding that style bumper but gave up on it when I realized the side moldings were going to take so long. I still have the bumper in my garage so I think I will definately try it again.

Ya I like the 90 front end im partial to it. Ya its alot of work switching to a 1gb front end. molding the 1ga lights into the 94 would look sick do you have pics of the bumper interested in seeing in how it tunred out so far.

Well the bumper was one of my first projects, so it looks a little rough, I plan on sanding the whole thing down and completely redoing it, right now the center section is cut out and it is in the rafters of my garage. I am going to get it down once it is too cold to drive my car and paint the whole thing during winter. So I will post, but not for some time.

What did you use to/how did you make the side molding indent flush with the rest of the door panel? Also what do you think about using bondo fiberglass on the inside of the rear panel where you had welded the 8"x2" hole closed, and then bondo smooth and sand the outside?
