I looked at old post about what might be the best way to fit a 2g mas in my 1g. Nothing that cover what I need. I have the reducers and injectors plus the wire connector yet not room.
I have a k&n air filter for the 2g plus a hard pipe(for a 1g) to the turbo.
I'm just not sure how to fit the 2g mas in with the filter on. Any info would help. I know many many others have do it. I must be missing something?
Thanks

Sorry dude, sounds like your gonna have to MacGyver this one on your own. Without actually being there and seeing your parts its kinda hard to tell why its not fitting. So bust out the duct tape and welding torch and have at it.

I had the same problem when I tried to install mine.

I ended up cutting the whole bigger where the stock upper I/C pipe came out of the stock side mount and put the filter down where the I/C used to be.

I just realized though that this would only work if you had a front mount and didn't have the piping going through there.

I did a few variations. But 2 abs 45* bends slightly cut down allowed it to fit.
I don't have a better pic online

Basically the mas has to more or less line up under the upper rad hose. I did the angle to allow a better flow, and help fit the giant air filter. Also using an upper i/c pipe that goes straight to the throttle body, instead of the abs design will help make a little more room.

I am useing the extreme psi 3" short ram intake with 2g mas and adapter plate and a k+n 4.5" outlet 3.5" tall filter. I'll try to get a pick up this weekend, right now the talon is in my garage with the engine sitting next to it. Putting it back together this weekend. Fresh rebuild on the 6 bolt wiseco/eagle/arps :). I'll post the pick by Monday, should be boosting by then.
