Trim back your hood latch support bracket or make a new one using a straight 1/8" thick x 1" wide x ?" long piece of aluminum. Doing that, moving the mounting of your fmic back, and getting a front bumper cover support bracket, and you'll be able to salvage that cover and make it look right. ;)

Yeah I thought about that which sounds like what I'm gonna do, I'll eventually want to get a new cover anyways because it is cracked underneath which isn't helping the structure. I put some more zip ties on today to help pull up the passenger side under the head light so that's now flush, I just need to fix the flexed part at the bottom.

I will definitely be up at norwalk hopefully by then I'll have my cams and tranny in, so I don't end up towing it back:wall:. The 2.3 is definitely a great low end power car, but I still look to make good numbers with it in the 1/4. As far as power although I'm not at my goal yet it's 700awhp, I need to get it on the dyno within the next week and see what I'm putting out now. The only thing really holding me back is the lack of cams and the tranny and I will need to swap out the 3065 as well(I never thought I'd say that:)). I need to save up a little more and then I'll be giving TRE a call and see what they can do for me.

As for the stroker "kit" I pieced the whole thing together I just didn't really want to go through SB after hearing all these stories about them.

Well it's been a while I haven't been on here for sometime I've had a lot of things going on lately and I've been away from a lot lately. As for whats going on with the car she's been running great, just little things here and there but finally got her on the dyno and at 19psi she made 355awhp 330awtq not bad for a 100* day and completely stock head(which is really hurting me).

The bad news the day before I was going to be leaving for the shootout that Thursday morning I was on my way to work and boom couldn't go anywhere couldn't get into gear my TOB started squealing and I had to pull over and get her flatbeded to my work.

So once I got to my work put her up on the lift and tour the tranny out to see what was up, I was thinking bent clutch fork possibly maybe seized TOB but to my surprise it was and exploded clutch beautiful sprung 2600 street disc:wall:.

Which also caused slight grinding on the input shaft which did basically seize my TOB in place.

So I have replaced the clutch fork and TOB just waiting for my flywheel back from the machine shop, and decided to go with an unsprung 6 puck and a 2900 pressure plate hopefully no clutch boom boom with this new clutch disc.

now you can start thinking of getting yourself a new trans from TRE or shep
