2g mas in 1g

ok I just purchsed a 2g mas off ebay no adapter plate or anything. just want to know if it possilbe to run with my big16 and stock everything else(except walbro255). do i need an afc to run the 2g mas? or can I just run it stock? also where do I find the adapte rplate for the 2g, thanks so much for any and all help :)

I think you need to buy an intake pipe off of dejon's website. They have the 1g intake pipe for the 2g maf. You can also use an existing 1g kn filter if you buy the adapter. I'm also certain you will need an afc to tune with the 2g maf.

You will for sure need an safc. I was adding over 40% to keep thing together when i was running without my eeprom. You will also need some type of intake pipe. The 1g pipe doesnt cooperate with the 2g mafs and makes for a pain in the ass. I hope you have a datalogger as well? If not dont waste your time with the safc or the 2g mafs.

No need to spend a fortune on the dejon pipe...Just get a stock 2g rubber intake pipe, they bottle neck yes, but with a 14b/16g style turbo anyway, there is only a 2-2.5" inlet so you have to bottle neck no matter what...

But yes, 550cc injectors and an SAFC would be best for a 2g maf setup

Just get a metal 2g intake off ebay for like 30 bucks. Comes with the filter adapters and a filter and everything. And the wiring diagram and all those details are on vfaq.

The 2g mas seems to free up about 40% more air from mine and a few friends experiences. Either way its not a perfect match and i recommend some control. If not i wouldnt waste my time putting them in.

Meh, it was rough. The point was that it's not even regardless. I know people who run without compensation, but it won't ever be quite right.

Now, if you ran a chip to compensate for 550's AND the 2g maf, then you'd be all set!

closed due to lack of using the search button, tomyboy yer gone for 2 weeks no point to direspect, either learn the rules or find another place to hang out.
