This is ludacriss as everyone is odviously overlookin the and problably the most common reason for the leak...an odvious one of the seals he the (cam, crank, valve cover, balance shaft, oil pan,etc replaced)...either installed incorrectly or just bad in the beginning or he might have pinched one in the initial installation gripe, gripe, tisk, tisk bolongna on top of bolangna everyone's posting there views and opions on oil instead of offering him technical suggestions for a solution to his problem..if installing one of the round seals it is extremely easy to pinch the lip of the seal when installing or pop off the spring circular spring around the lip of the seal itself..even if the gunk was clogging an existing leak the gunk itself was still starving oil somewhere else just fix the damn leaks....

P.S. we ran nothing but synthetic(10W-30) on my mom's Supercharged Bonneville SSEi for 7years from 139,000 all the way to 298,000mi when my sister totaled the car... no problems and car ran better than ever smoked many other SSEi's that were newer and with less mileage...
Please read the rules and type normal sentences with proper grammer.

Just my 2 cents I totally agree with LD a few posts back.

An engine flush on an older motor will loosten up build-up that was blocking your leaks. I had a buddy have the same problems. Possible to have new seals installed incorrectly as well.

Check your seals again, and let us know what happened.
Even pros damage or install incorrectly a seal during install once in a while.

Good Luck

Easy on the opinions guys, stick to the facts. If my 124k 4G63 that was ragged out and needed a rebuild could take the switch to synthetic with zero issues, your theory's are bunk.

I switched and my engine leaked after so what's your point? Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean that is doesn't happen. I had a few leaks before I switched (barely noticeable), and after I switched they were worse. That is a product of the smaller molecules. I AM NOT saying that switching to synthetic oil causes leaks. It is my expeience that once you switch, leaks become worse.

For the record, I believe the op either did not get a gasket seated 100% correct or the engine flush loosened some gunk and that brought on the leaks.
