Nice kill. And supras are very impressive cars in my book. I only got to drive one 4th gen. It was black on black, special edition NA auto 8(. Still I loved how it drove, looked and sounded. The car has extremely aggressive stance, its wide and feels like a jet inside. Hopefully I will get to drive a turboed one shortly, I will report back on that.

Too big? Not really, It really depends on how you tune it.
You're right, running with too much timing advance under WOT is still considered running, much like 20 ins rims will fit a stock DSM although it rubs.

How do I tune w/ a wideband? Try the "search" button..
I did but for some reason it keeps coming back as a monitoring device, not a tuning device, maybe you have a special wideband.

Yea, as long as I dip into 12's I can care less. Any questions, ask them.

RWD isn't good for only one thing at a time.....

Z06 comes to mind

This is true, I was just commenting on the person saying awd > rwd. However since the Zo6 / vett has a stiff suspention it doesn't hook up easy on street tires. Not saying it CANT just saying takes more driver skill than say a old Nova with suspention setup to transfer weight to the rear.

Again, you're right, we wouldn't want to fu(k up that dip into 12's by running mid 12's on the same setup with better timing control. Have you actually taken the car to the track yet? Do you have the said "dip into 12's" time slip? It's easier said than done to dip into 12's with a FWD.

Any questions, ask them.
Ask them what? How to tune using wideband without using your safc? I'm asking you how since you seem to know so much? Are you saying they tuned your car and you know nothing about tuning?

In case if you're wondering, I'm picking on you because you talk too much smack and you're embarrassing the entire DSM community, it's always the slower and the ones who knows the least in each car group that does all the shit talking. A true car enthusiast cares not which brand/image each performance platform has, every platform has its pros and cons and each can be made FASTER with enough funds and passion. Supra is a solid platform with great potentials and should be respected and recognised as such, just as 4G63 is.

So you think because you beat a near stock supra in a ghey 30mile/hr roll street race so all Supras suck and you're a bad ass? You still have much to learn kid.

Look old man, I'm not knocking Supra's. There great cars, I beat one and I am modded pretty well. He was stock w/ some basic bolt ons. I know how to tune, I do have time slips to prove I am in the 12's. I am in the Sac raceway (CMI) almost every week. It is easier said than done to hit 12's in a FWD, That's why I take pride in it. Make the DSM community look bad? Have you seen the Eclipse's rolling around here?? enough said.

Sounds like oldman knows what he is talking about.

Anyhow, timing induced knock from overly large injectors on a piggyback w/o timing control comes to mind but the special WB02 solves that one :p

I am still surprised when I see people using the S-AFC II. I know DSM owners are cheap but so are 3/S owners and most are moving on towards piggybacks with timing control and a bit more flexibility.

I had a VR4 and that was much more of a bear to tune without knock. Alky was pretty much required for piss 91 octane.

As far as my Talon goes I'm pretty secure with my SAFC/Chip/MAFT setup. I'm running on par with all the 50 trim guys who I have seen running similar setups with DSMLink so I figure its not worth switching.

I had DSMLink at one point. Sold it and I might go back when ever V3 comes but if V3 never does come, I'll probably never have DSMLink. Anything smaller than a 57trim really doesn't "need" it.

This is true..but then again it's not easy driving any car that goes low 11s.... let alone one that goes low 11s on street tires. :)

What year? The hybrid guys (94/95) now have the ability to view knock. I basically have to deal with the slow datalogging and just timing to have some sort of knock indicator. I went with methanol injection just to have a safer mind but I am always pretty conservative with the AFR and timing maps.

I run E-Manage Blue/MAFT with a host of diagnostic tools. But, the MAF-T isn't used for fuel controller (just for the MAS) as I use the E-Manage

What shop in the bay area does that supra belong to, so I can rub it in.

The supra is like the god of the import world here. DSMs are the devil, no one respects us, regardless of the #s we put up. They are more impressed about a civic breaking into 12s with a motor swap compared to a 1g that runs 12s for $1500 or less-- car included.

At least here in the west coast.

Of course I still wouldn't mind owning one :p
