Who has personal experience with either of these turbos? Neither the 3565 or DBB 3575 are listed on FP's website, but they do make them. I already talked to Amber at FP about the 3565. I would just like to get some first hand impressions.

Yea, I read that thread already. I believe his talking about the standard journal 3575. But what about the 3565? FP said its not as popular as the 3065 and thats why they dont list it. I just want to know why. Its only about 200 more and is basically a 35r w/FP housing.(I did search:) )

I have an FP3565 and all it is is a 35r in the fp30 housing. I bought the turbo off of a friend who ran it and is said to be the original and it made 608hp at something like 34psi. This was on a completely built engine by AMS and everything to go with it. Full spool is around 4800rpm's and pulls like a freight train.

This is what I was looking for!!! Anybody else? DBB 3575? Also Phattsi was this a 2.0? As far as the T67, I'm guessing you can get this DBB? Anyone have impressions of this one(DBB)?

I talked to Robert at fp today. I have been bouncing around between a 3065/3565 or a 3575 for my 2.4. I want the power of a 3575 but the driveability of DBB. Forced does not offer the 3575 in a DBB but people have had them converted through a different company. I think I can find thier name somewhere.

The thing is, I'm sure there is a reason for why the 3575 isnt ball bearing, or Im sure forced would offer it that way.

I also asked him about a 3565. As everyone has stated, they put a 35r turbine on it instead of a 30r. I dont know if it is the same 82mm as the compressor or not. Robert did tell me it's good for 20-30 whp more than a 3065 but has about 200 rpms more lag. He said that was the reason why they make the 3065 with a 30r turbine, is to increase spool up time with a minimal hp loss.

Personally, I will take the hp over the lag. It's still DBB and with my 2.4, fp exhaust mani, jmf intake mani, ported head, ported TB, and light flywheel I think Ill spin 'er just fine.

This was on a 2.0 a few years back before strokers really hit mainstream and back when making 600awhp was extremely rare. I think Shep was only running 8.9's 9.0's at the time as well.

This thread is hurting my brain.

1. There is NO FP 3575 DBB. STOP asking about it.
2. There is NO FP T67 DBB. " " " " " ".

Both of the above use a 360 "screwed down" thrust bearing. This is probably in the description on FP's site.

Personally, I find NO need in buying a FP 3565. It's just TOO expensive for what you get from it. Forced performance feels the same and that's why they never really aggressively pushed that particular turbo. Either buy a 3065, graduate from it and buy a T3 or T4 genuine GT35R (or bigger) turbo. I do not see why people feel they must use the stock manifold then shell $300-$500 more to spend on a bolt on turbo. It makes NO sense. The difference in price right there is enough to buy a T3 manifold.

If you really want to buy a DBB T67, buy Garrett's TO4Z or PTE's 6776. Those are DBB 67mm turbos and so is the GT 4094R. I am sure you can get a similar sized wheel in Borg Warner, Turdblownetics, Bullseye flavors.

I just like the 3565 because it is a 35r that I can run a cast manifold (I hate tubular, they always crack) It also is fp's stainless whatever material and allows you to bolt the wastegate to it. (an hks t3/t4 cast manifold is $700 with a wastegate on the runner vs fp $325, wastegate after the collector) To some people the cost is worth it. $200 more for a reliable cast 35r set up is worth it to me, just not everybody.

different strokes for different folks. my .02
