Do I need an M/T ECU?

Just bought a 91 5speed. Upon close inspection, the engine was replaced with an automatic motor.

Do you think whoever did this replaced the ecu with an automatic ecu? The car runs fine and I have no CEL.

My goals for the car are 350-400hp.
I have:
3" turbo back
1G dejon turbo intake
dejon uicp
boost gauge
mbc @ 13

Not installed:
550 injecters
safc1
2G maf

Need to get:
Logger
front mount
2G exhaust man
16G
2g o2 housing

Is there anything I'm missing? I'm kinda confused about the which ecu it has, is there a way to tell? Please improve on the Mod list if need be. Thanks

There is a list online someplace that says what the part numbers on the ecu are (starts with MD).

There isnt a difference in the "motor" between the 2, just the turbo and injectors.

Autos have 13g or b.. turbo and 390c injectors where the manual have a 14b and 450cc injectors.

Have you checked to see what the eingine has?

As far as your mod list, looks ok, may want to invest in a 190lph or 255lph fuel pump and an afpr. Will let you take advantage of the SAFC and 550cc injectors with the 16g more.

1g turbo a/t's also came with cams that cost 5 hp and a smaller ex man.

To answer your question, NO, you don't need a M/T ECU.

No M/T Ecu, Just make sure it's a Turbo One!
