but would that also work on an intercooler? The "fin rake", that is.
I don't see why not since they're mechanically the same thing. Aluminum fins are aluminum fins.

Edit:

After doing some search, the fin rakes that I came across:
http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/...in.jsp?itemID=10849&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=544&iSubCat=1064&iProductID=10849

wouldn't work so well on an intercooler, simply because the fins don't extend past the bars on most intercoolers, and the fins are not straight up and down in rows, they typically go like \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ between the bars.

However:
A set of radiator fin plyers would probably work to correct those issues. Even a flat head screw driver might work if you're careful.

Yea, I tried straightening the fins on my stock IC and they were the /\/\/\/\/\/ kind. Flathead seemed to be my only option at the time. It took FOREVER, but I cleaned it with carb cleaner and straightened the fins. 2 birds, 1 stone.

Is there another way?
