To one person its ticking, to another its clicking, and another is grinding.. maybe you could get a video or audio of it so we know what sound it is actually making. My t-case was making a clicking/grinding noise, replaced it and it went away. Though, Mitsubishi looked at mine and said that was it, but they wanted 3k to fix it  . Took me 100 bucks :D

Well i know whats fricken wrong. Its a rod bearing. I cut open the oil filter and there is a ton of metal filing in the paper element so im extremely pissed right now.

Sorry thats what I was thinking when I read that.

A couple of things that you may want to due when building the next engine.

1. Balance the crank, flywheel, rods and pistons.

2. Get rid of the Mitsu dampner get an aftermarket one.

My guess is your making some nice power and something mentioned above wasn't balanced. Rotational vibrations will kill our motors all the time under boost.

Ummm im a little worried by that statement...... I was planning on just like, tearing this down and machining what needs to be done and buying new bearings.

This is a motor that was built in january of this year.

Ok I would get everything balanced no if and or butts something is off. You can drop off the crank, flywheel pistons and rods and they should be able to get them back to you in a week, may cost between 150-250 depending on the shop.

Its the best $$ you'll ever spend.

Why the flywheel too?

Cause if your going to balance it, it should be done as a complete assembly. It would be like changing your brake pads and turning the rotors but not bleeding the brakes. You know everything is new and should work but took a short cut and now it doesn't stop.
