Hay fellas i need some opinions to help me make a decision on a new turbocharger. I am very interested in the fp-3052 and the horsepower its capable of supporting. My question is i want to know do you think my block can handle 450whp? Here's what i done to my engine.

2g pistons and 1g rods
arp rod and head studs
crower retainers and springs
hks 264 intake and 264 exhaust cams
mildly ported head
evo VIII sodium filled exhaust valves
itm 2g cast pistons
acl race series rod and main bearings
rotating assemble balance and blueprinted

So what do you think? Can this block handle 450whp i think it can but i am always open to suggestions. Thanks

It probably can handle 450whp but It will put a lot of stress on the components. At least you have 1g big rods. I have heard that 450 is kind of pushing the limits though.

It should be able to handle it. The ARP rod bolts are a good idea.

The cast pistons dont allow for much detonation to occur so make sure your tune is dead on and your using a decent tuning device

All depends on the tune, I know more then a couple guys who put down close to that much awhp on Mustang dynos, on stock 7 bolt bottom ends. With a good tune you should be okay. If your looking for that kind of power, I'd be installing head studs (if you don't already have) & those cams are on the small side for that goal. I'd be looking at a 272 varient instead. Also what are you running for intake mani?

My car puts down right around the 370 whp mark with the 3052 on pump & meth with 25 psi. Thats with the stock IM & FP1X cams, which don't help the top end power.

600 hp.:D

By the way spyda, I wanted to ask you if you snapped off a easy out in the turbo housing...I dulled 2 carbide bits trying to drill that mother fucker out!
HA HA HA:) yeah i broke my only one! just take it to a machine shop $15.00. you will have to leave it with them for a day though. When you put that thing on let me know how she pulls;)

I have a buddy who was putting over 450 whp with his gsx on his 7 bolt on pump gas. Just be sure you have a good fmic, and a good tune.

Edit: According FP, the turbo supports about 500hp.
