I dont get it, everyone talks about the holding power....I want the holding power of the 2600, but will it wear out faster or break the tranny...thats what I need to know, and FAST!!!

You know I tried a act 2600 one time in my 93 fwd talon that I used to have and I hated it, I could not slip it at all man, It had a very stiff pedal:( so I went to a centerforce dual friction clutch and I loved it, it held the power awesome, and the pedal was light if not lighter then the stock clutch, but it never and I mean never slipped on me at all..
2600 is alot of strain on a fwd, awd? not as much, fwd has wheal hop, thats what blows the trannys, or diffs i should say..
If you dont mind the stiff pedal then go for it, but in a fwd I dont recomend it. just my opinion... hope this helps man!

A CFDF which is approximately 1900-1950 lbf and the ACT 2100 clutches are more than enough for a FWD car. The 2600 clutch is necessary if and only if you're building a substantial amount of power or for a race only car.

i guess i'm just an oddball radical. I had a act 2600 with a 6 puck on my fwd and loved it "most of the time".I never ran into trannie problems.now on my awd drive i've got a 2600 with the street disk but i had the vc and center dif welded up in it.so far i like it.
