I am looking for bronze or gold rims for my car, but I cant find anything that is pleasing me. Everything I find is either 4 lug or way to expensive. I dont care about name brand and I dont really care about SUPER light wieght. I want either a 5 or 6 spoke, 16" (maybe 17") rim. The designs I'm looking at are like these....

(The pictures would be to big)

But I would prefer it to be all bronze/gold. And im not trying to spend more than $500 on the rims as I will be spending the money on the tires instead.

I was wondering if anyone knew any non-name brand wheels like this.

(The other option would be to buy black/silver wheels and have them powder coated)

Give me your opinions.

tires.com (discountdirecttires.com) best deals online period. Plus they got good brands. I got my 18inch Konig Imagines with tires for $1,117 shipped before Konig discontinued them.

I personally am not a fan of bronze wheels especially on eclipses. But a lot of people just put on bronze wheels out of no where. It might look good if maybe something else on the car was bronze. But everybody Ive seen with bronze wheels is just, bronze out of no where. But to each his own. You asked for opinions.

I'd go with a silver or black wheel preferably mesh styled. If black though, only if it has a polished lip. That'd be hella sweet IMO

I agree with 5arge, not a big fan of bronze rims, but I think it has potential to look nice. The last link out of the three above I think look the best...but thats just me.

And shouldn't this thread go in the Body tech and appearance? Or is it just too early for me to process everything..

I would say you're right Eyelinered. I would think Body tech and appearance too.

I wasnt sure if this should be in here or body tech, but the point is I'm trying to a decent setup of wheels with wider tires. Im looking at something along the lines of 235's.

Rota Subzero's

Why are you getting rid of the subzeros? Too narrow? Personally, I would say to stick with Rota wheels, they are light and priced very well, not to mention they look great.

I love these ones right here:

17x8, 35mm offset

But if you want to stick with a 5 or 6 spoke, I would say go with the Rota Boost. But I would stick with bronze, it would look great on your car.

I know the subzero's look good on my car. Just to bad those are Photoshopped on. ;)

Yeah I saw the other rota's and they look decent. Just looking to see if there is anything else out there.

I would not go with a brand such as Rota, as I have heard many bad things about them. Take some and spend an extra amount of money (if you have to) because your life rides on those four wheels and tires.

I'm sure someone has the Rota picture somewhere.

Here is an example of wheels made in China:

First Rota are made in the Philippines not china. Also could you elaborate on hearing bad things about them maybe first hand experience. If I recall evil eagle runs them on his car or did with many 9 sec passes so thats good enough for me. As for only on hondas have you seen all of there designs?

As far as the "made in China comment" I didn't make that comment so I won't comment on that. I could care less where they're made. But as far as everything else. I wouldn't base Rotas off somebody who happened to make 9 second passes with them. Lastely I probably haven't seen all the designs, and don't really care to. My wheels are hell of alot better than Rotas anyways. I just thought I would comment. This thread is getting a little off topic anyways IMO.

Well if you have not seen all of the deisgns then why say they look ugly on DSM's come on and look good on hondas. I also dont base my opinion soley on the 9 sec pass either I personally know 3 people who have had them for a while with no problems. As for the tread going off topic you had nothing to add to the OP question so you could have just not even commented he didnt ask for how you thought rotas looked did he. Ok I'm done peace out.

I have heard many more people with rota's say that they like them, than people who don't like them.

Personally I don't care for the rims on the body-kitted GS. My own opinion though. ;)

I still would like a 6 spoke design though, and this thread was supposed to have someone give me a link to some that I may not have found myself.

How exactly can you say this? I'm not knocking on KONIG rims as I have them on my car right now; 17x7 Konig Troubles with studdable winter tires. I bought these in hopes to make it to race on Lake Sebago this year. Its my winter rim setup. But back to my point. My rims where only ~130 a piece... Thats less than the price of most ROTA wheels on a name brand of wheels you stand behind so defensively..
