I have a td05h 20g @17psi and the mods are in my sig, I have a dejon mbc and it is attached to one of the fan bolts. I was installing some silicone hoses yesterday on my lower intercooler pipe and now I started spiking to 20psi then settling back down to 17psi. Where usually I would hold 17psi steady to redline, just wondering if a boost leak would cause a spike? Thanks.

Do you at less have the turbo and 02 housing ported ???

The turbo is ported and it is internally gated with a o2 dump housing.

I don't think I'll have time to do a boost leak test today, right now, I'm at school typing this, and then I'm busy after so I guess I'll try tonight or tomorrow. I'll let you guys know once I get it done. But is it even possible for a boost leak to cause a spike?

Yes it can, I'v had that happen to me once.

I found a leak in my biss screw and my bov gasket, I'm going to buy both of them tomorrow at RRE and see if that fixes the spike.

Fixed both leaks and it still did not seem to fix the spike. Today I adjusted my wastegate arm one turn looser hoping it would fix the spike but it is still there. Something is weird with my boost, it would hit 17-18psi @3500rpm, then drop to 15psi, then it would rise to 16-17psi @5000rpm to redline. So I think I have boost spike and boost creep? I am getting so tired of this stupid problem and its making it hard for me to tune it.

Yeah, I'll try another test, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any boost leaks.

Ok, got done with the boost leak test and still no leaks what so ever. Sprayed the whole tb, intake manifold, intercooler couplings, bov, turbo, vacuum lines and still no leaks. My leak tester popped off which scared the crap out of me, loud ass POP, haha. So now I am totally stumped on my problem. And thanks for the help Boost92AWD.

No, I usually kept it at 17psi and it would spike, then I shortened my mbc hoses and got rid of the spike. I installed the hoses because I had fernco hoses on and I changed to t-bolt clamps, thats when the spike came back again.

That and I did the dodge garage mod to my 1g bov to hold more boost.
