Thanks man. Unfortunately I am sort of buddies with the one guy who works at the shop when this 'accident' happened. Im having him come over and help me figure out this Autronic wiring thats all fucked. I have NO clue how to get the stand-alone running again. All I know is there is alot of wiring to do, and I hate it/suck at it.

Cant wait to get my firewall all sanded off and paint it white again :)

Nice wire tuck and clear timing cover!:rolleyes: Glad to see you motavated and hard at work. I wish I had a first gen to help you out...:(

As far as wiring I'd be ripping EVERYTHING out and starting with a fresh harness. No way would I even attempt fixing that as you'll run into gremlins down the road for sure :(

I'm sure the resistance in alot of the wires has changed now....its just no good. Just tear every last bit out, and swap stuff back in. Might have to re-pack the grease in the steering coupler etc...I'm sure it got nice and toasty too

Good luck and keep posting progress! :)

Definitely swap in a new harness to begin with and then modify it as necssary for the autronic. If you have the $$ I would strip the engine bay and have it media blasted. Much faster and more effective at removing all that fire residue.

Thanks for the tips guys, I had a feeling the harness would have to get re-done. The Autronic itself has its own wiring harness so...gah I may just get a stock Harness and go with DSMlink but who knows.

im buying a hand-held sandblaster this weekend for the firewall strip. No more sanding :)

I've always loved your car, glad to see you haven't given up.

Kind of weird considering like last week around here a kid at my old highschool bought an awd 92 laser that was sitting for like 3 years. I heard he was out bashing the shit out of it and it caught fire.

Fires = sad panda.

Go with DSMLink, its a lot more DIY and you can get help here. I'm not so sure about getting a t67. You may want to get the green on there first and drive that before jumping to an even larger turbo. How much experience do you have with cars >300hp?

I've scratched the T67 Idea, Maybe NEXT year. I think I can take the green past 500hp which is my goal :)

Just be careful man.. start off slow. I'd hate to hear about something else happening.
I can handle a fast car, I know these cars arnt reliable worth a shit. When the right foot comes to the ground Its under safe conditions ie: dead road/no traffic, or the track. The last thing is I want this thing breaking down on me all the time so it will be babied most of the time.

I need to break in my built motor anyways if I ever get it done :)

by any chance how did you get that last bolt on the far right under the exhaust header? The black metal thing is in my way and don't know how to get it I tried unscrewing it but I don't have enough room.

^I dont think so, just a new head gasket cause the head has to come off.

I bought a air-powered sand blaster today :), better than paper sanding!
