what do you guys recommend doing for turbo-back exhaust systems? should i just get it done at a local exhaust shop? is there a good system that i can order off of the internet? and if i do get it done locally what would i need before they could do it (a downpipe, muffler, hi-flow cat???)

Now, IMO go to a shop and get some 3in pipe straight back, get yourself a muffler and slap that bad boy on the end and call it a day.

For an example, my friend paid 200 bucks for 3in pipe from the turbo back. He has no muffler, but you can pick a used one up or a knock off cheap. There you have have a turbo back exhaust for under 300 bucks.

Get one done locally. It will only cost around $300, and I would get an larger o2 housing but it isnt really nessecary. They dont need anything. They can open it up from the o2 housing to a full 2.5" or 3", whatever you app. is, and run straight pipe all the way back to a perforated muffler.

If they say anything about needing a cat you can say its an off road only car you can buy a high flow cat .

My buddy took his brothers gt42r civic to a local exhaust shop and got a full 4" aluminum exhaust with v band clamps for only $700! Thats a steal! Im thinking about getting an aluminum exhaust done there to in the future.

96 and newer but all cars must have a cat in place if it came with one. Unless of course you are like me and inspect your own car.

Haha..Also if you know a few lick and stick places.;) I know a few here in philly. And all you really need to do is get it passed once really. Drive a 2000-3000 miles afterward and then slap on a replacement gauge cluster. When next year comes around all you have to do is put back your orignal gauge cluster and bam you are exempt from emissions testing so only have to pass the safety. In philly if you drive under 5000 miles annually you are exempt from emissions.:D

Or you can register your car as a classic.:p

Do what you want, but I would never put a 2.5" exhaust on my car. You won't likely notice any difference in spool from a 2.5" or 3" downpipe. If you did the 3" would spool faster and also make more power.
