I need a little help here, I've had this oil leak for a while. It's not bad enough to leave anything on the ground but since it's leaking near the belts somewhere it's just flinging it all over the place, so it's hard to locate.

This is just below the tentioner and idler pullies notice the buildup right above the front cover bolt ...

The tentioner and idler pullies, notice the buildup on the inner lip of both the pullies and the bolt inbetween them ...

The crank and oil pump sprockets which have no sgin of oil leaking around or behind them ...

I took pictures of the areas with the most build up to give you guys an idea of whats going on. I've inspected the oil sending unit and it had no signs of leaking aswell as the turbo oil feed and return lines, both show no signs of leaking. The head gasket, vavle cover, and cams all show no signs of leaking. I'm at a loss here guys, could it be possible for one of the bolts in the front cover to leak? Or that single bolt inbetween the timing belt Tentioner and Idler pullies?

Well I'm not denying the fact that it could be the cam seals leaking but like I said above, I didn't see any signs of leaking coming from that area.

I would also like to memtion that the car hasn't been started for a good 8 months becasue I've had the tranny out of it ... and it still is. So the question of me starting it would be null :(

Well, all bolts around the area were tight ... Any more ideas?

The bolt right below the tensioner looks like the one leaking. When you put it in did you put some rtv on it? If not pull it out put some rtv on it, let it sit for a day should be good to go. I think it says to put some rtv on that bolt in vfaq while doing the timing belt.

Are you talking about the one right below the tentioner pully? If so I'll take it out and put RTV on it, including all the other ones around the area
