When I do the roll cage, I will be incorporating braces to stiffen the body at the same time. I will be doing this for the front and rear of the car.

Why didn't you weld re-enforce all the suspension conpononents. Thats what we did with all of mine. Plus prothane bushings. My suspension is stiff as a rock. handels great. Next were dropping the car an inch and half.

I never really thought about that. I already powder coated the suspension and I was really happy with the handling that I had with my gst. I hope I don't regret not doing that. Thanks for the advice, I wish I would of done something before I spent all the money on the powder coating.

I saw this car on ebay when it was for sale. I was thinking about putting a bid on it as my grandparents live in Indiana and going down there to pick it up.

Everything is looking good so far. What is the expected time frame your looking at?

I picked this car up from a guy in Wisconsin. I don't know if its the same car you seen on ebay.

I am hoping I can have the car done for spring of 2010. This year I will be putting the engine and mocking everything up and installing the suspension and working on the interior. This winter I will be pulling the engine back out to finish the engine bay. In '09 I will reinstalling the engine and finish the wiring for the car and I will start to tune it a little. In the winter of '09 I will get the body completed. So I can start showing it off in 2010.

I had a couple of quesitons for someone, would a '96 gsx lsd rear end be the same as a '97. Also what is the prefix on the tranny if its lsd? I think its BFH but want to make sure.

What is the difference on the rear end between an auto and 5 speed?

Thanks
Maybe you typed this wrong, but the tranny isn't a limited slip, the center diff is, but not the front diff, it is like that on all awd's.

The ratio's are different. I think if you use an auto rear in a 5-speed, you'll burn up the rear. If you reverse it, and use a 5-speed rear on an auto trans, you'll burn the trans up...

Yeah I typed it wrong I was talking about the rear end and for some reason I typed tranny. I will be putting a Quaife limited slip in the Trans.

I have been busy parting my other car out. I will take pictures Thursday when I work on the car next to show the progress.

I do have a question. I'm about to buy a Strada MXL dash. Do you know if I can run a "Y" connector off the AEM to the strada dash and to my Laptop. When I'm tuning will the dash cause problems with me tuning. I called Aim sports and they didn't have an answer for me.

I do know that the dash works with the aem. I am just affraid that running the dash and tuning my cause problems.

Thanks

I will be posting pics of the cage later this week. Haven't had the chance to download them from my camera.

I do have a question. I have a Slowboy Racing Intercooler right now. The size is 24x10x3.5 . It supports 800hp. Do you think I should sell it and get one that is a little smaller that fits my application better. Something like the Extreme Intercoolers Race Kit. That supports 675hp.

I was told that if you run a larger intercooler than you need you will cause lag in your spool up. Is this true?

Thanks

Those seats retail around 2,100 for one seat with out brackets. I purchased the driver and passenger seat. The carbon fiber seats are about 6lbs less than the fiberglass version and they look cool as hell.:D
