carbon fiber headlight covers

My friend has the vis version of the pop up covers and he loves them. Looks great w the hood and has never had any issues.

I have never heard anything bad about franks except it can take some time, if he is even making them anymore. Might shoot him an email or phone call and ask.

He's still making them, but the price has gone up due to the shortage of CF.

Anyone know anything more about that? I guess they're using it all for planes now. Does anyone have any insight as to if the shortage will get any better, or just worse?

I doubt there are any wieght savings with the headlight covers, the steel ones are so thin that they weigh nothing, infact I would be willing to bet that the cf ones would be heavier.

But with a cf hood the og covers look kinda misplaced, which is why I would get cf ones.

true that..
I can't stand cars with body color popups and the CF hood. Looks so out of place.
I'm almost thinking of getting them while I can.. I just have SOOOO many things I want to buy right now.. lol..

I'll find out an estimate price in a bit. I pm'd the guy asking for a price quote, so I'll let you guys know!
Franks has them for around 255 + Shipping.

Definitely hit up Kamil, Raul, or Luis at HiRev Performance. They can get any custom piece made if they don't have it already. Check dsmtuners, they have a thread asking dsmers for whatever parts they want made.

I personally have their hood and hatch and they fit great and are of great quality.

Ya I've been talking to them. They don't want to make any parts without a ton of interest.

And ya, the 255 is pretty steep, that's why I haven't ordered them from them yet!
