Like the tittle says, I am planning on buying an aftermarket exhaust manifold, but I dont know if it will fit my stock turbo, what brand do you guys recommend? or what specs should i look for? I would prefer it was street legal, but its not a major concearn. I am also planning on getting a custom built turbo-back exhaust and was wondering what would be a better diameter for the piping, either 2.5 or 3 inches.:dunno:

First of all I suggest that both of you re-read the forum rules and start following Rule #7 when posting. This also includes capitalizing appropriate words like I and the beginning of sentences.

As for Ex manifolds I would consider DNP, or the new cast mani FP offers. But for most applications a ported evo 3 mani or 2g mani will do just fine.

Wow, never read such a rule in my entire life...pretty retarded. I'll go back to lurking then. Thanks :)

Rule #1 No rudeness, harassment, racism, bigotry, or personal attacks. Improper posts should be reported to site management as opposed to "handling" them yourself.

Maybe you should read them???

Are you serious? If you dont have the mental capacity to follow the posted rules of the board, you dont have to stick around and it will not be any loss to us.

And how the hell does Rule #1 apply to me being nice enough to you to warn you about following the rules so that you wont get banned? It is my job here to "handle" enforcing the rules. Feel free to go back to lurking because if you decide to keep posting without following the rules you wont recieve any more of these "rude" warnings, you will just be gone. Im sorry if I hurt your feelings by my "rude personal attack".

This should be in the noob forum anyways.

Well actually, i bought a really nice manifold off of ebay. Its tubular stainless for 175. The guy advertises that it is bulletproof and i believe him. The only problem i have had is that it turned gold after heating up, but i'm gonna heat wrap it anyway so who cares about that. Hasn't cracked or anything, and my uncle also bought one for his GSX.

Be careful. Ebay tubular ex manis are known for cracking if you wrap them. If you still plan on doing it at least reinforce it.

Being able to understand what you type is retarded? Sounds like YOU're the one that might be a little mentally challenged if you ask me.

How hard is it to use what your English teacher thaught you in elementary school?

Ok everyone, as fun as it may be picking on those with sand in the vag, it is time to move on. He has recieved his warning and we can leave it at that. Now lets keep this thread on topic or it will get locked with the quickness.

Last time I checked this is the internet. He could read what I wrote perfectly. A simple PM would have been fine...and if you are going to tell me I'm mentally challenged, use spell checker :) Thats all. Lock the thread. Just trying to help him out and the usual assholes have to chime it.

Ok here is how it works. When you decided to sign up on this forum you agreed to follow the posted site rules even if you decided not to bother reading them. Myself as well as the other Mods have been given the job of making sure the rules are followed. Like it or not these are the rules. Most of the time I do send out PMs to remind members of the rule. Unfortunatly my PM box fills up real fast and when I have the simple opportunity to warn two members at the same time I will do it rather than send out multiple PMs. I didnt make a big deal out of it and your response was uncalled for. On top of that I still attempted to help out the OP. I strongly suggest adjusting your attitude. Most other mods would have given you a vacation after your first inappropriate post and now you go ahead and call fellow members assholes. You are not helping out your case.

Not a problem at all. I just wanted to give the two of you a simple reminder. Anyways ebay ex manis have recieved mixed reviews. (you can read up if you do a search for "ebay exhaust manifold" or dif variations of that.) The one thing that most people do that have success with them do is reinforce the welds and flange. Other than that it is pretty common for them to crack if heat wrapped and even many brand name tubular exhaust manifolds state that if wrapped their warrenty is void. I am a firm believer in doing things the right way off the bat even if it costs you a bit more since it ends up saving you money in the long run. Honestly for most applications a ported 2g or Evo 3 mani is more than enough esp with a stock turbo. If you really want a quality product I would look into buying one of these.

Hope that helps.

No man, this manifold is awesome bolted right up no problem, comes with great gaskets. Its made specifically for the mitsubishi turbos to. The ports are smooth as hell, I've seen a lot of crappier ones with horrible port jobs. The welds are reinforced, and the special thing about this manifold is that its made with pre bent pipes welded together, instead of bending the pipes as you go which happens on quite a few manifolds. My advise is to go ahead and get it, because i have personal experience with it and my uncle has had his longer than me and had no probs yet. Whats the heat wrap problems all about? Ive never heard of that? Is it worse if you heat wrap, i always thought it was better.
