Today I was pulling out of my job onto the highway so i decided to do a nice pull and as i was rounding off second I felt a loss of power. The car continued to idle fine and drove normal so I thought nothing but I pulled over to see if I maybe blew an intercooler pipe out or something. After checking over everything it was all fine. I pulled back on to the highway and as soon as my boost gauge got to about 2psi the car would buck and bog. I did it maybe 2 more times to check and of course the same thing. My o2 gauge said i was 10.1 but I cant factor out fuel until I get a gauge on to see if I have fuel pressure.I am going to retighten all my intercooler clamps just to see since I dont have a valve stem to make the boost leak tester right now. If its not a boost leak i dont really know what it could be.

The car idles fine and runs great until I get to that 2psi and anything after that it will buck and bog.

Here are my mods to just help out with your opinion, thanks

Well, get a stem because you need to do a Boost Leak Check.

Boost leak for sure!!!

I just managed to pull together a little boost leak tester with a valve stem I had on an old wheel with a rubber 2.5 cap,i had a small leak at the tester but I had a small compresser on it that was staying at 40psi when I had it on and would fall to 0 after 2 seconds when I turned it off. I windexed all my couplers and i didn't see any bubbles or anything. Im going to go try and make the tester a little better but I dont know. I thought I would even hear some air leaking but nothing except coming from the tester itself. Im hoping its just my whipped up tester and I can fix it and find this leak! All my couplers feel solid, maybe my bov is broken?

See if the air is going into the crankcase.

Just to double check I had my dad come outside and tell me what was on the boost gauge and he said it didnt move once even though the air compressor was definetly building some pressure and staying at 40psi when on. Wouldn't the boost gauge show pressure if I had air being compressed into it?

Yes the boost gauge would show pressure. Make sure the throttle is open though.

^ I should have mentioned that but didn't think about it.

Yeah im going by the autometer,I didnt have the throttle open before and I didnt feel like standing in the cold anymore so I just took it around the block before I called it a night and as im approaching boost the car will start to miss violently,it sounds like I am tacked out on the rev limiter but im only at like 4k in 1st ha. The o2 reads 10.1 and I swear I can smell fuel after I was done. Im done for tonight so tomorrow after work I can have a great time figuring this one out.

Let us know what happens after the boost leak test.

Yeah I will do it over tomorrow night with someone to help me out.Im hoping it is a boost leak,if not I have some serious issues to deal with. If I rev the car up I can spike 5psi in neutral. If it was a boost leak would it cause me to miss like that?

Didn't have a way to go to school today ha so i figured it out. It was indeed the infamous BOOST LEAK. Turns out one of my clamps was slightly cracked and was giving some play to the coupler, put a new clamp on and im back to 10psi. Thanks a lot to everyone for helping me out.
